What SocialBee Is, and Who This List of SocialBee Alternatives Is For
SocialBee is a social media scheduler built around content categories. You sort posts into folders such as Educational, Promotional or Blog Posts, you put the categories on a weekly schedule instead of the single posts, and SocialBee publishes the next post from whichever category owns the slot. A category can be set to requeue its posts, which turns it into an evergreen library that loops until a post expires. SocialBee's guide to content categories calls this category based scheduling, and the SocialBee homepage sums up the promise in one line: "Plan, create, and schedule a month of social media posts in under an hour."
Around that core sit an AI Copilot that drafts a posting strategy with posts to go with it, AI captions and images, an inbox for comments, mentions and DMs, analytics, and ConciergeBee, an agency arm that will write content or run ads for you. The company launched in June 2016, per SocialBee's about page, and has belonged to WebPros, the group behind cPanel and Plesk, since WebPros announced the acquisition on August 20, 2024. As of October 13, 2026, SocialBee's pricing page lists three standard plans from $29 a month for 5 social profiles, a 14 day free trial and no free plan.
It is a good product for the job it was built for, and this page says so wherever that is true. People who search for SocialBee alternatives usually want one of eight things: a free plan, a lower price per account, evergreen recycling in another tool, deeper analytics, a full team inbox, a visual planner for Instagram, open source code with an API, or a tool that makes the posts instead of only rotating them.
The list below covers all eight. We make Spreadcast. It comes first because it is the only tool here that designs the posts for you, and the other nine are ranked by how well they answer one of those reasons for leaving SocialBee. Every price and limit was read on the vendor's own pages between October 11 and 13, 2026, and the source is linked beside each claim. If you are weighing other schedulers as well, see the best Buffer alternatives.

SocialBee Pricing in 2026: Plans, Yearly Prices and Limits
SocialBee has three standard plans, three agency plans and no free one. Every number below comes from SocialBee's pricing page, read on October 13, 2026.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Social profiles | Users and workspaces | Content categories | What the plan adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bootstrap | $29 a month | $290 a year (about $24.17 a month) | 5 | 1 user, 1 workspace | 10, with up to 1,000 posts in each | Recycling and expiry, AI Copilot, AI captions and images, 10 RSS sources, the inbox, 3 months of analytics |
| Accelerate | $49 a month | $490 a year (about $40.83 a month) | 10 | 1 user, 1 workspace | 50, with up to 5,000 posts in each | CSV uploads, the bulk post editor, post approval, the hashtag organizer, advanced analytics, 2 years of data, 30 RSS sources |
| Pro | $99 a month | $990 a year ($82.50 a month) | 25 | 3 users per workspace, 5 workspaces | Unlimited, with up to 5,000 posts in each | Exported analytics reports, internal notes for feedback, unlimited RSS sources |
| Pro50 (agency) | $179 a month | About $149 a month | 50 | 5 users per workspace, 10 workspaces | Unlimited | The same features as Pro |
| Pro100 (agency) | $329 a month | About $274 a month | 100 | 5 users per workspace, 20 workspaces | Unlimited | The same features as Pro |
| Pro150 (agency) | $449 a month | About $374 a month | 150 | 5 users per workspace, 30 workspaces | Unlimited | The same features as Pro |
Add ons are bought inside the app: a set of 5 extra profiles for $15 a month ($150 a year), an extra user for $10 a month ($100 a year) and an extra workspace for $10 a month ($100 a year). Yearly billing is listed as 16% off. AI content generation is listed as unlimited on every plan. Prices exclude VAT, GST and other taxes.
Is SocialBee Free? The Free Trial, Refunds and Nonprofit Pricing
SocialBee is not free. There is no free plan on the pricing page, only a 14 day trial that needs no credit card and opens every Pro feature. What happens on day 15 matters if you planned to coast: SocialBee's help article on the trial says that once the trial expires you cannot open your content and all sharing stops. Paying for a plan, then or later, brings back your settings, schedule and posts as you left them.
The cheapest way in is Bootstrap on yearly billing: $290 a year, which works out to about $24.17 a month ($290 divided by 12). Twelve months at the monthly rate cost $348 (12 times $29), so the yearly plan saves $58. Two other discounts are published by SocialBee itself. Nonprofits can ask for 50% off by email, per SocialBee's page for NGOs. And the SocialBee migration page prices a done for you move from another scheduler at $199, or free with a yearly plan. We do not list coupon codes, because we cannot confirm how long any of them runs.
Refunds are narrower than the headline suggests. SocialBee's refund article gives a full refund when you ask within 30 days of the first purchase. It does not cover renewals, monthly or yearly, and there are no prorated refunds for cancelling in the middle of a month or a year. SocialBee's terms of service add that a cancellation is processed at the end of the billing cycle, so the plan keeps working until the period you paid for runs out.
Then there is what the $29 plan leaves out. Bootstrap has no CSV uploads, no bulk post editor, no post approval, no hashtag organizer and no advanced analytics: all five start on Accelerate, which is $20 more a month ($49 minus $29). Bootstrap also allows one user, and a second person is a $10 add on. So the short answer to whether SocialBee is free is no, and the honest price for a small team that wants approvals is $49 to $59 a month.
SocialBee Review in Brief: What It Does Well and Where It Stops
Searches for a SocialBee review, and for whether SocialBee is legit or worth it, deserve a straight answer before a list of replacements. It is a real company with a ten year record: launched in 2016, registered as SocialBee LABS SRL, and owned since 2024 by WebPros, whose cPanel and Plesk software runs a large share of web hosting. This page does not repeat star ratings from review sites. Everything below comes from SocialBee's own pricing page and help center, read on October 13, 2026.
What it does well is the library. Categories go on the schedule, each category can recycle or share once, and a post can expire after a set number of shares or on a date, so a Valentine's offer stops on February 15 without anyone touching it. AI generation is listed as unlimited on every plan. The inbox is on every plan too, and it handles comments, mentions and DMs for Facebook Pages and Instagram business profiles, comments and mentions for Threads, LinkedIn company pages and X, and comments for YouTube. Direct posting covers ten networks, and Canva, Unsplash, GIPHY, Zapier, Pabbly and Make are connected.
Where it stops is also on its own pages. SocialBee's article on its API says there is no public API and no white label version. SocialBee's table of supported account types shows that Facebook personal profiles, Facebook groups and Instagram personal profiles publish through reminders on your phone, that Bluesky has no analytics, and that the inbox does not reach LinkedIn personal profiles, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Business Profile or Bluesky. Telegram, Mastodon and WhatsApp are reminder only as well, through a feature called Universal Posting.
So it is worth it for a solo marketer or a small business with a stock of posts that stay true for months: tips, FAQs, blog links, quotes. It is a weaker fit when you want to start for free, when several people need seats, when a script should do the posting, or when the thing you post about is new every time.
What Is SocialBee AI? Copilot, AI Captions and the Free AI Post Generator
SocialBee AI is three things with one engine. The first is Copilot, which SocialBee's Copilot guide calls an AI social media manager. You enter your website, it reads the business name, tagline, services, tone of voice, audience and language, and you correct anything it got wrong; without a website it asks the same questions in a chat. It then suggests which networks to use, proposes content categories such as Educational Posts or Behind the Scenes Stories, and generates draft posts with captions, hashtags and images, which you review and approve in the Content Approval Dashboard. What it creates is added on top of your existing categories, and the guide says SocialBee does not use your data to train AI models. Copilot runs on OpenAI's API.
The second is AI inside the post editor: captions and images on request. SocialBee's article on AI limits and fair usage says there is no monthly cap on AI generation on any plan at the moment, with a warning that this may change and will be announced first. Each request has limits: up to 10 caption variations and 2,000 words a response, up to 4 images from a prompt of up to 1,000 characters, and for Copilot up to 5 categories and 10 posts, with chat messages of up to 500 characters. Because the AI relies on an outside provider, busy periods can slow it down or make a generation fail, and generated images may not show real public figures.
The third is the free SocialBee AI post generator, the one Google suggests most. SocialBee's AI post generator page works without an account: you pick one of more than 1,000 prompts, fill in the blanks, choose a tone of voice and the number of posts, and press Generate, for Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube and TikTok. The page warns that the output may be inaccurate and that you are responsible for how you use it. To publish the posts or add images, you need a SocialBee account, which starts with the 14 day trial.
All three write from what you tell them. That suits a business whose posts are tips and offers. An app's posts are facts that already exist, a version number, a review, a rating, and Spreadcast reads them from the App Store listing, then writes a caption for each network and designs the image around your real screenshots.
SocialBee Free Tools: Mockup Generators, Hashtag Generators, Calculators and Their Alternatives
Besides the AI post generator, SocialBee's free tools page listed 33 free tools on October 17, 2026. They are the reason many people search for SocialBee without wanting a scheduler. Here is what they do, grouped, with a free alternative where one fits.
Post Generators for Each Network
Separate pages for Instagram captions, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest pins, Facebook, LinkedIn and tweets, built on the same prompt library as the AI post generator. For an app, Spreadcast writes the caption per network from your listing; our caption guide shows the limits and formulas it follows.
Mockup Generators for Facebook, Instagram, X, Pinterest and LinkedIn
Five mockup tools that show how a post will look in each feed before you publish it, the Facebook and Instagram post mockup generators being the ones Google suggests. If you already schedule with Postiz, its composer has a preview column for each network, per Postiz's quickstart guide.
Hashtag Generators for Seven Networks
A general hashtag generator plus one each for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, X and LinkedIn. Mind the limit on Instagram: SocialBee's own posting errors article says a post can carry at most 30 hashtags, and Pinterest flags more than 20.
Instagram Grid Planner and Collage Maker
The grid planner lets you upload posts and preview the feed before they go out, and the collage maker combines several photos into one image. Later, in the roundup above, builds its paid plans around the same kind of visual grid planner.
Engagement Rate Calculators
Five calculators: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and a general one. They give a quick number for a public account, which is useful for sizing up a competitor before you pay for an analytics plan.
Image Resizers, a Line Breaker, a Character Counter and a UTM Builder
Resizers for Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook, an Instagram line breaker that keeps blank lines in captions, a character counter for X and a UTM link generator. For the sizes themselves see our social media image sizes guide, and for links to an app's App Store page, the free App Store campaign link generator writes them in Apple's format.
Why People Look for a SocialBee Alternative
None of these is a defect. Each is a choice SocialBee made, stated on its own pages, that does not suit every team.
No Free Plan
SocialBee starts at $29 a month after a 14 day trial, and posting stops when the trial ends. Buffer, Publer and Metricool each keep a free plan with no end date, and Spreadcast's free plan drafts every post for one app. A founder with two or three profiles and no budget has no way to stay on SocialBee.
Five Profiles and One User on the $29 Plan
Bootstrap works out to $5.80 a profile ($29 divided by 5). A sixth profile means the $15 set of 5 extra profiles, so $44 a month, or Accelerate at $49. A second person is another $10. Publer's plans and pricing article starts a paid plan at $5 a month for a single account.
CSV Uploads and Post Approval Start at $49
Bootstrap cannot import a CSV file, edit posts in bulk or hold a draft for approval. Those arrive on Accelerate. RecurPost includes bulk CSV scheduling on its $9 plan, and Buffer's free plan can already upload a CSV file.
Three Months of Analytics on Bootstrap
Bootstrap keeps 3 months of data. Accelerate keeps 2 years and adds advanced analytics, and exported reports are listed on Pro at $99 a month. Metricool keeps the full history and exports PDF and PPT reports from $25 a month.
An Inbox Without Benchmarking or Routing
SocialBee's inbox covers comments, mentions and DMs on six networks. Its pricing page lists no competitor benchmarking and no routing of a message to the right teammate. Hootsuite has brand and competitor monitoring and benchmarking from Standard, and message routing on Advanced.
No Public API and No White Label
SocialBee's help center says both are unavailable today. If a script, an agent or another product should create your posts, Spreadcast has an MCP server that lets Claude or ChatGPT design posts, write captions and schedule them for an app, Buffer offers an API on every plan and Postiz adds webhooks and open source code.
Some Accounts Post by Reminder
Facebook groups, personal Facebook and Instagram profiles, Telegram, Mastodon and WhatsApp do not publish by themselves in SocialBee: the mobile app reminds you and you finish the post by hand. Publer and Postiz publish to Telegram directly.
The Categories Are Still Yours to Fill
Recycling repeats what you already wrote, and the AI Copilot drafts when you sit down and ask it to. Neither one knows that your app shipped version 3.2 or collected its thousandth rating. If the feed is quiet because nobody makes the posts, a category system has nothing to rotate.
SocialBee Alternatives at a Glance
SocialBee is in the first row as the baseline, and Spreadcast, which is ours, comes next. Starting prices are for monthly billing in US dollars unless the row says otherwise. The last column is the one a profile count leaves out: who makes the post.

The 10 Best SocialBee Alternatives, With Prices, Pros and Cons
Spreadcast is ours and comes first, because it is the only tool here that makes the posts for you. The nine after it are ranked by how directly they answer a reason for leaving SocialBee: the free and cheaper schedulers first, then the two tools built on evergreen recycling, then the specialists for analytics, accounts per dollar, Instagram, team inboxes and open source.
- 1
Spreadcast
Free, then $29 a month flat with publishing to 8 networks includedBest if the categories are empty: it designs your app's posts and publishes them for you
Spreadcast is ours, and it starts where SocialBee stops. SocialBee rotates a library that somebody has to write first. Spreadcast writes the library as your app produces news: you paste your App Store link once at the start page, it reads the public listing every day, and each new version, each new 5 star review and each rating milestone becomes a designed post. In a week with no release it drafts a post about one feature of the app, so the feed keeps moving without recycling last month's post. Every post is a 1080 by 1350 image built from your icon, screenshots and colors, with a caption written for each network.
On Pro, Spreadcast publishes those posts to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram and Discord, plus YouTube for video posts, after one tap of approval or on full autopilot. Each post takes the next free slot on a calendar, and you can drag it to another day. A post that quotes a reviewer always waits for you, because Apple's ratings and reviews guidance allows reviews in marketing only with the reviewer's permission. Setup is the App Store link: no SDK, no code, no categories to plan and no CSV file to prepare.
SocialBee Bootstrap and Spreadcast Pro both cost $29 a month, so compare what each $29 buys. SocialBee gives you 5 profiles, 10 categories and an AI that drafts when you prompt it. Spreadcast gives you 8 networks with every app post designed, captioned and published. To reach 8 profiles on SocialBee you add the set of 5 extra profiles, which makes $44 a month ($29 plus $15). That is $15 more than Spreadcast Pro ($44 minus $29) before anyone has made a post. The free plan drafts every post for 1 app, ready to download with a small Spreadcast mark, and Studio is $79 a month for 5 apps and 3 seats, with a separate brand for each app.
It is built for apps on the App Store and makes still image posts, with basic post stats. If you already run SocialBee, keep it for the evergreen tips, blog links and replies, and let Spreadcast run the recurring app posts. See how that looks for indie hackers, or read how an AI social media manager differs from a scheduler.
Pros
- Designs each post for you from your icon, screenshots and colors
- Publishes to 8 networks, with a caption written for each one
- Starts from one App Store link, with no library to write first
- The free plan drafts every post for 1 app
- $29 a month flat, with design, captions and publishing included
- MCP server so Claude or ChatGPT can design posts, write captions and schedule them, drafts only by default
Cons
- Built for apps on the App Store
- Still image posts, so keep an editor for video
- 2
Buffer
Free for 3 channels, then $6 per channel a monthBest free SocialBee alternative
Buffer answers the most common reason for leaving: SocialBee has no free plan, and Buffer's has no end date. Buffer's pricing page lists a Free plan with up to 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel at one time, an AI Assistant and replies to comments. A slot refills when its post publishes, so a founder who posts a few times a week on three networks may never pay.
Paid plans are priced per channel. Essentials is $6 per channel a month billed monthly or $5 billed yearly, and Team, which adds approval workflows and unlimited users, is $12 or $10, per Buffer's machine readable pricing file. SocialBee vs Buffer on price comes down to how many profiles you run. At 3, Buffer is free and SocialBee is $29. At 5, Buffer Essentials is $30 (5 times $6) against $29, which is a tie. At 6 and 7, Buffer is $36 and $42, while SocialBee needs its profile add on and costs $44 ($29 plus $15). At 8 it turns: Buffer is $48 (8 times $6) and SocialBee is still $44, and at 10 Buffer is $60. Buffer wins up to 7 channels and SocialBee wins from 8.
What you give up is the feature SocialBee is known for. Buffer's pricing file lists a queue, tags, a hashtag manager and first comment scheduling, and no content categories that requeue posts. An evergreen library has to be scheduled again by hand or uploaded again: Buffer's bulk upload guide allows up to 100 posts per channel in one CSV file on paid plans, for text and single image posts.
Buffer also has two things SocialBee says it does not: an API on every plan, the free one included, and Team seats with no price per user. It publishes to 12 channels, Mastodon among them. Our Buffer comparison sets Buffer beside Spreadcast.
Pros
- A free plan for 3 channels with no end date
- AI Assistant and replies to comments on every plan
- API access on every plan
- Approval workflows and unlimited users on Team
Cons
- No evergreen recycling on the pricing page
- The price climbs with every channel: $48 a month for 8
- Telegram is not among its 12 channels
- 3
Publer
Free, then from $5 a month for 1 accountBest lower price per account, with recycling on Business
Publer charges for exactly the number of accounts you connect, which makes it the cheapest paid route off SocialBee for a small setup. The free plan covers 3 social accounts with 10 scheduled posts each, without X. Professional starts at $5 a month for one account and Business at $10, per Publer's plans and pricing article. Our Publer comparison goes deeper.
On October 11, 2026 Publer's price selector showed Professional at $12 a month for 3 accounts, $20 for 5, $32 for 8 and $36 for 10, and Business at $21 for 3, $35 for 5, $56 for 8 and $63 for 10, with 20% off on yearly billing. SocialBee Bootstrap is $29 for 5 profiles. Publer Professional for the same 5 is $20, which saves $9 a month ($29 minus $20). The catch for a SocialBee user is that post recycling sits on Business, where 5 accounts cost $35, or $6 more than Bootstrap ($35 minus $29). With 3 accounts the sum turns around: Business is $21, which is $8 less than Bootstrap.
SocialBee vs Publer on recycling is a difference in method. Publer recycles post by post instead of category by category. Publer's guide to recycling posts has you build a posting schedule with labeled time slots, then set a post to recycle every week, month or year, with an optional expiry by date or by number of cycles. The same guide says YouTube, TikTok and WordPress posts cannot be recycled, and that X, Pinterest and Google Business Profile need at least 10 variations of a post. Publer's Business plan article adds analytics, competitor analysis, recurring posts and approval workflows to the same plan, and says the API is offered to Business customers in good standing only.
Reach is wider than SocialBee's. Publer's list of supported networks has 13, with direct publishing to Telegram and Mastodon, which SocialBee handles by reminder, plus WordPress. Paid plans accept one CSV file of up to 500 posts, per Publer's CSV upload article, which is the quickest way to bring a SocialBee export across.
Pros
- A free plan with 3 accounts
- $20 a month for 5 accounts on Professional
- Post recycling, analytics and approvals on Business
- Publishes to Telegram and Mastodon directly
- CSV uploads of up to 500 posts on paid plans
Cons
- No X on the free plan
- Recycling needs Business: $35 a month for 5 accounts
- YouTube and TikTok posts cannot be recycled
- 4
RecurPost
From $9 a month for 2 accountsBest evergreen content scheduler at a lower entry price
RecurPost is the tool people set beside SocialBee most directly: both a SocialBee alternative RecurPost search and RecurPost vs SocialBee appeared in the search suggestions we collected. It is built on the same idea under another name, content libraries that recycle posts into recurring time slots. RecurPost's pricing page lists evergreen content libraries, unlimited stored library posts, bulk CSV scheduling, a unified social inbox and an engagement analytics dashboard on every plan, the $9 one included.
There are three self serve plans. Starter is $9 a month for 2 social accounts, 1 user and up to 10 posts per account a day. Personal is $25 for 5 accounts and 20 posts per account a day, and adds post variations, seasonal libraries and 2 RSS feeds. Agency is $79 for 20 accounts and 3 users, with a workspace per client, an internal and external approval workflow and white label reports. Yearly billing gives two months free. An extra account costs $4 a month on any plan and an extra teammate $20.
Set that against SocialBee. For 5 profiles, RecurPost Personal is $25 and SocialBee Bootstrap is $29, a $4 difference. For 8, RecurPost is $37 ($25 plus 3 times $4) and SocialBee is $44. For 2, RecurPost is $9 and SocialBee is still $29. RecurPost also includes bulk CSV scheduling from the first plan, which SocialBee holds back until Accelerate at $49.
SocialBee is ahead in three places. Bootstrap reads 10 RSS sources where RecurPost Personal reads 2, and on Starter a feed is a $10 add on. SocialBee's post approval starts at $49, while RecurPost's approval workflow and client workspaces start at $79. And SocialBee lists its AI generation as unlimited, where RecurPost sells extra AI posts and images in blocks of 200 for $10 a month. RecurPost has no free plan either: the trial is 14 days without a card. It publishes to ten networks and Telegram is not one of them.
Pros
- Evergreen libraries on every plan, from $9 a month
- Bulk CSV scheduling and a unified inbox on every plan
- Extra accounts for $4 a month each
- A 14 day trial with no credit card
Cons
- No free plan
- Approval workflow and client workspaces start at $79 a month
- 2 RSS feeds on Personal, and a paid add on for Starter
- 5
MeetEdgar
From $29.99 a month for 5 accountsBest for a content library that reshares itself
MeetEdgar is built on a recycling library and little else. You load posts into a library by category, give each category weekly time slots, and Edgar keeps publishing from the library and resharing your evergreen posts, as the MeetEdgar homepage describes it. If recycling was the reason you chose SocialBee and everything around it is the reason you are leaving, this is the nearest relative.
MeetEdgar's pricing page has two plans. Eddie is $29.99 a month, or $299 a year ($24.91 a month), for 5 social accounts, 10 weekly automations, 4 content categories and 15 AI credits a month, without the social inbox. Edgar is $49.99 a month, or $499 a year ($41.58 a month), for 25 accounts, 1,000 weekly automations, unlimited categories, the inbox and 50 AI credits. Both plans include unlimited scheduled posts and 20 team members at no extra cost.
SocialBee vs MeetEdgar changes with the plan. At the entry level the prices are a dollar apart and SocialBee gives more: 10 categories against 4, an inbox, and AI that is listed as unlimited against 15 credits. One step up it turns around. Edgar's $49.99 buys 25 accounts and 20 team members, while SocialBee Accelerate at $49 buys 10 profiles and 1 user, and 25 profiles on SocialBee means Pro at $99. A solo user with 5 profiles gets more from Bootstrap. A small team with many accounts gets more from Edgar.
The trial runs 30 days, twice as long as SocialBee's, but the pricing page says your payment method is charged automatically when it ends, where SocialBee asks for no card at all. Its FAQ names nine networks: TikTok, Instagram, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, Google Business Profile and Bluesky. An extra account is $4.99 a month on Eddie and $2.99 on Edgar.
Pros
- Library resharing is the core of both plans
- 20 team members on every plan at no extra cost
- 25 accounts for $49.99 a month on Edgar
- A 30 day free trial
Cons
- No free plan
- Eddie stops at 4 content categories and 10 weekly automations
- The social inbox is on Edgar only
- AI credits are capped at 15 or 50 a month
- 6
Metricool
Free, then from $25 a monthBest when you need analytics, competitors and reports
Metricool started as an analytics tool, and it answers the thinnest part of SocialBee's entry plan. Its free plan includes 30 days of analytics and 5 competitor profiles along with scheduling for 1 brand and 20 posts a month, with LinkedIn and X left out. Starter is $25 a month billed monthly ($20 billed annually) for up to 5 brands, with LinkedIn, unlimited analytics history and reports in PDF and PPT, per Metricool's pricing page. See also our Metricool comparison.
Compare the reporting. SocialBee Bootstrap keeps 3 months of data, Accelerate keeps 2 years, and exported reports are listed on Pro at $99 a month. Metricool Starter keeps the full history and exports reports for $25, which is $74 less than SocialBee Pro ($99 minus $25) if a monthly report is what you need. It reads ads data from Facebook, Google and TikTok on every plan, and its pricing page lists an inbox as well.
Pricing is per brand, and one brand holds one profile on each network. An app with a profile on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest and Bluesky fits inside one brand for $25, with four brands to spare. SocialBee counts every profile, so the same seven need the add on or Accelerate. Two costs sit outside Metricool's headline: X is $10 a month for each connected account, and approvals, roles and the API start on Advanced at $67 a month billed monthly.
For evergreen posts Metricool has Autolists. Metricool's guide to Autolists describes a list of posts that publishes automatically on a schedule you choose, can repeat or cycle through its posts, and can pull new items from an RSS feed. That covers plain recycling. It is a list on a timer more than a category system with an expiry rule on each post, so load a sample of your library during the free plan before you move everything.
Pros
- Free plan with 30 days of analytics and 5 competitor profiles
- Full history and PDF and PPT reports from $25 a month
- One brand covers one profile on each network
- Autolists repeat a list of posts on a schedule
Cons
- The free plan leaves out LinkedIn and X
- X costs $10 a month per connected account
- Approvals and roles start at $67 a month
- 7
SocialPilot
From $30 a month for 7 accountsBest for more accounts per dollar
SocialPilot has the same shape as SocialBee, flat plans with a fixed number of accounts, and puts more accounts in each one. SocialPilot's plans page lists Essentials at $30 a month billed monthly ($25.50 billed annually) with 7 social accounts, 1 user, 500 AI credits, a content library and a Repeat Post option. SocialBee vs SocialPilot is one of the comparisons that search suggestions show.
For $1 more than Bootstrap you connect 7 accounts instead of 5. That is about $4.29 an account ($30 divided by 7) against $5.80 ($29 divided by 5). Extra accounts are $4 a month each, so 8 accounts cost $34 ($30 plus $4) where SocialBee costs $44. The gap widens with people: Standard is $50 a month for 15 accounts and 3 users, while SocialBee Accelerate at $49 has 10 profiles and 1 user. Premium is $100 for 25 accounts and 6 users.
The entry plan is thinner than SocialBee's in two ways. Analytics and the social inbox start on Standard, so the $30 plan has neither, and Bootstrap has both. Bulk scheduling and CSV uploads start on Premium at $100, against $49 on SocialBee. Manager approval comes with Standard.
There is no free plan, and the trial is 14 days without a card. Its network list matches SocialBee's ten, with no Telegram. On evergreen posts, the plans page names Repeat Post and a content library and describes no categories that rotate with an expiry rule, so treat it as a lighter version of what SocialBee does. Pick SocialPilot when the count of accounts and seats drives the bill. Skip it if the category system is why you liked SocialBee.
Pros
- 7 accounts for $30 a month
- Extra accounts at $4 a month each
- 15 accounts and 3 users on Standard for $50 a month
- A 14 day trial with no credit card
Cons
- No free plan
- No analytics or inbox on Essentials
- Bulk scheduling and CSV uploads start at $100 a month

Later
From $25 a monthBest for planning an Instagram and TikTok grid visually
Later plans around the picture. Its visual planner lets you drag media onto a calendar and see the Instagram grid before anything publishes, with a link in bio page and posting time suggestions on every paid plan. Later's pricing page lists Starter at $25 a month billed monthly ($18.75 billed yearly) for 1 social set of 8 profiles, one per network, with 1 user and 30 posts per profile a month. Our Later comparison has more.
Growth is $50 a month with 2 social sets, 2 users and 180 posts per profile, and adds approval workflows, a social inbox and a year of analytics. Scale, at $110 a month, removes the post cap. Later's networks are Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube and Snapchat.
SocialBee vs Later is a choice between a library and a look. Coming from SocialBee, mind four things. X and Bluesky are not among Later's networks. Starter caps each profile at 30 posts a month, where SocialBee's pricing page lists no monthly post cap. The pricing page names no content categories and no evergreen recycling. And AI on Starter is 5 caption credits a month. SocialBee lists an Instagram grid preview of its own, so the planner alone is a thin reason to switch.
Later fits a brand whose marketing lives on Instagram and TikTok and whose feed has to look planned. If that is close but not quite right, the best Later alternatives compares the other visual planners.
Pros
- A visual planner built around the Instagram and TikTok feed
- Link in bio page and posting time suggestions on every paid plan
- One social set covers 8 profiles for $25 a month
- Social inbox and approvals from Growth
Cons
- No X and no Bluesky
- Starter stops at 30 posts per profile a month and 1 user
- No evergreen recycling on the pricing page
- 9
Hootsuite
From $99 a month per user, billed annuallyBest full suite with a team inbox and monitoring
Hootsuite is where teams go when SocialBee's inbox is no longer enough. Hootsuite's plans page lists Standard at $99 per user a month on annual billing for up to 10 social accounts, with one inbox for messages, brand and competitor monitoring, benchmarking against 5 competitors and AI drafts. Professional is $199 with unlimited social accounts, automated inbox replies and custom reports, and Advanced is $399 with approval workflows and message routing. See our Hootsuite comparison.
SocialBee vs Hootsuite is, with Buffer, the comparison people search most. On price it is not close. SocialBee Accelerate gives one person 10 profiles and post approval for $49 a month. Hootsuite Standard gives one person 10 accounts for $99, and approvals wait until Advanced at $399. For three people, SocialBee Pro is $99 in total, because it includes 3 users per workspace, and Hootsuite Standard is $297 (3 times $99).
What the difference pays for is everything around the post: brand and competitor monitoring, benchmarking, routing a message to the right teammate and team productivity reports. SocialBee's inbox handles comments, mentions and DMs, and its pricing page lists no benchmarking and no routing. Hootsuite's integrations page names Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest and Bluesky for publishing. There is no free plan, only a 14 day trial without a card, and the plans page describes no evergreen recycling.
If the inbox is the need and the price is the obstacle, Agorapulse sits between the two: Agorapulse's pricing page lists Standard at $79 per user a month billed annually ($99 billed monthly) with 10 social profiles and the inbox on every plan. The best Hootsuite alternatives lists the rest of that field.
Pros
- One inbox for messages on every plan
- Brand and competitor monitoring from the Standard plan
- Approval workflows with message routing on Advanced
- A 14 day trial with no credit card
Cons
- No free plan
- Priced per user: $99 a month each on annual billing
- Approval workflows start at $399 per user
- No evergreen recycling on the plans page

Postiz
Free to self host, hosted from $29 a monthBest open source SocialBee alternative
Postiz is the open source route. The Postiz repository is licensed under AGPL 3.0 and showed 37,143 stars on October 13, 2026. You can run the code on your own server for no license fee or pay for Postiz Cloud, the same application hosted for you. It also fills a gap SocialBee names in its own help center: every paid Postiz plan includes a public API and webhooks.
The Postiz pricing page lists Standard at $29 a month for 5 channels, the same price and count as SocialBee Bootstrap, then Team at $39 for 10, Pro at $49 for 30 and Ultimate at $99 for 100. On annual billing those are $23, $31, $39 and $79 a month. Every plan lists Repeated posts, which republish evergreen content daily, weekly or at a custom interval. At 8 channels Postiz Team is $39 against $44 for SocialBee, and at 25 channels Postiz Pro is $49 against $99 for SocialBee Pro.
Two things go missing on the way. The Postiz pricing page lists no inbox, where SocialBee answers comments, mentions and DMs on every plan. And repeating is set on a single post, with no categories on a weekly schedule. The trial is 7 days, and there is no free hosted plan.
Self hosting is free in license terms and costs a server plus, on most networks, a developer app of your own that the network has to approve. Reach is the widest on this page: Telegram and Bluesky sit beside Reddit and Discord among 30 plus destinations. Our list of the best Postiz alternatives covers what self hosting takes in detail.
Pros
- Open source under AGPL 3.0 and free to self host
- Public API and webhooks on every paid plan
- Repeated posts on every plan
- 30 channels for $49 a month
Cons
- No free hosted plan, and a 7 day trial
- No inbox on the pricing page
- Self hosting needs a server and your own developer apps
Evergreen Content Scheduler or Content Recycling Tool: How Each One Recycles Posts
An evergreen content scheduler keeps a post after it publishes and shares it again later, where a plain queue deletes it. The tools on this page that do it use three different methods, and the method decides how much of your SocialBee setup survives a move.
SocialBee recycles by category. SocialBee's article on evergreen and share once posts explains that an evergreen category with ten posts shares them one by one and then jumps back to the first. A single post can also be set to requeue. To stop a post from looping forever, SocialBee's guide to expiring posts lets you cap the number of shares, set an end date, or both, and an expired post moves to an archive you can restore it from.
RecurPost and MeetEdgar work the same way under other names. RecurPost calls the folders libraries and lists them, with unlimited stored posts, on every plan, capped by posts per account a day: 10 on Starter and 20 on Personal. MeetEdgar calls them categories and caps the entry plan at 4 categories and 10 weekly automations, which are the weekly time slots a category can own. A SocialBee library with more than four categories needs Edgar at $49.99, or some merging.
Publer, Postiz and SocialPilot recycle post by post. In Publer you mark one post to recycle every week, month or year and it drops into the next open slot with the label you chose. Publer's guide notes that X, Pinterest and Google Business Profile need at least 10 variations of a recycled post, and that YouTube and TikTok posts cannot be recycled at all. Postiz repeats a post at an interval, and SocialPilot has a Repeat Post option. Metricool takes a third route with Autolists: a list of posts on a timer that cycles through its items.
Buffer, Later and Hootsuite describe no recycling on their pricing pages, so an evergreen library moved there becomes a queue you refill. Before you choose a content recycling tool, count what you really rotate. A library of tips, FAQs and blog links suits any of the tools above. Release news does not belong in one: version 4.1 is only news once, which is why an app's updates need a tool that makes each post fresh.
SocialBee Alternatives Compared Feature by Feature
These seven features decide most choices between SocialBee and the tools around it. SocialBee's categories with expiry rules are a real strength, and the table says so. Each cell comes from the vendor's own pricing or help page between October 11 and 13, 2026. Not stated means the page we read did not say, which is different from a no.
| Tool | Content categories | Evergreen recycling | AI writing | Analytics | Inbox | Approvals | Free plan |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SocialBee (baseline) | 10, 50 or unlimited by plan, placed on a weekly schedule | By category or by post, with expiry by date or share count | AI Copilot plus captions and images, listed as unlimited | 3 months on Bootstrap, 2 years from Accelerate | Comments, mentions and DMs on every plan | From Accelerate | No |
| Spreadcast | Not needed: posts are sorted by moment (update, review, milestone, feature) | Not needed: every post is new | Spreadcast designs the post and writes a caption for each network | Basic post stats | Keep a scheduler beside it for replies | One tap approval on every post, or full autopilot | Yes: every post drafted for 1 app |
| Buffer | Tags | Not on the pricing page | On every plan, for text | 30 days on Free, unlimited history on paid plans | Replies to comments on every plan | Team plan | Yes: 3 channels |
| Publer | Labeled time slots | Business plan, post by post | Unlimited prompts on Business | Business plan | Not stated | Business plan | Yes: 3 accounts, no X |
| RecurPost | Content libraries on every plan | Every plan | Included, with extra blocks of 200 posts for $10 a month | Engagement dashboard on every plan, white label reports on Agency | Unified inbox on every plan | Agency plan | No |

| Metricool | Not stated | Autolists | On every plan, with monthly credits | 30 days on Free, full history and reports on Starter | Listed on the pricing page | Advanced plan | Yes: 1 brand, 20 posts a month |
| SocialPilot | Content library and tags | Repeat Post | 500 credits on Essentials | From Standard | From Standard | From Standard | No |
| Later | Not stated | Not stated | 5 credits a month on Starter, 50 on Growth | 3 months on Starter, 1 year on Growth | Growth plan | Growth plan | Not on the pricing page |
| Hootsuite | Not stated | Not stated | On every plan, for posts and images | On every plan, custom reports on Professional | Every plan, with monitoring | Advanced plan | No |
| Postiz | Not stated | Repeated posts on every plan | AI agent and copilot on every plan | Listed on every plan | None listed | Preview links with comments | Self hosted only |
Sources are the pricing and help pages linked in each entry above. If a Not stated cell decides your choice, ask the vendor before you pay.
Which Networks Each SocialBee Alternative Publishes To
We checked 11 networks on each vendor's own list: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram, X, YouTube and Google Business Profile. Read this table if a single network decides the move.
| Tool | Publishes to | Missing from the 11 |
|---|---|---|
| SocialBee (baseline) | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, X, YouTube and Google Business Profile | Telegram, which works by reminder through Universal Posting |
| Spreadcast | Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram and Discord, plus YouTube for video posts, with a caption written for each | X, Google Business Profile |
| Buffer | Ten of the 11, plus Mastodon and Substack | Telegram |
| Publer | All 11, plus Mastodon and WordPress. X on paid plans only | None |
| RecurPost | Ten of the 11 | Telegram |
| MeetEdgar | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, X and Google Business Profile | Telegram. YouTube is not in the FAQ list on its pricing page |
| Metricool | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, YouTube and Google Business Profile, plus Twitch. LinkedIn on paid plans, X as a paid add on | Telegram |
| SocialPilot | Ten of the 11 | Telegram |
| Later | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest and YouTube, plus Snapchat | Bluesky, Telegram, X, Google Business Profile |
| Hootsuite | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and YouTube, with Google Business Profile through an app | Telegram |
| Postiz | All 11, plus Reddit, Discord and Mastodon among 30 plus destinations | None |
Account types differ inside a network. In SocialBee, Facebook groups, personal Facebook profiles and personal Instagram profiles publish by reminder, and most tools here have similar rules, so check your own account type before you move.
What 8 Networks Cost on SocialBee and on Each Alternative
Take one brand with 8 accounts: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and Telegram. Prices are in US dollars before tax, read between October 11 and 13, 2026, and the last column shows the sum. Every scheduler price buys publishing for posts you make. The Spreadcast price also covers designing and captioning them.
| Tool and plan | Covers all 8 | Billed monthly | Billed yearly, per month | How the number is worked out |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SocialBee Bootstrap with 5 extra profiles (baseline) | 7 of 8: Telegram by reminder | $44 | $36.67 | $29 plus $15 for the profile add on, or $290 plus $150 a year divided by 12. Accelerate at $49 also covers it |
| Spreadcast Pro, 1 app, posts designed and published for you | Yes | $29 flat | See pricing | One price for its 8 networks, with design, captions and publishing included |
| Buffer Essentials | 7 of 8: no Telegram | $48 | $40 | 8 times $6, or 8 times $5 on yearly billing |
| Publer Professional | Yes | $32 | $25.60 | The price selector for 8 accounts, with 20% off yearly |
| Publer Business, with recycling | Yes | $56 | $44.80 | The price selector for 8 accounts on the plan that recycles posts |
| RecurPost Personal | 7 of 8: no Telegram | $37 | Add ons priced monthly | $25 for 5 accounts plus 3 extra accounts at $4 each |
| MeetEdgar Eddie | 7 of 8: no Telegram | $44.96 | $36.88 | $29.99 plus 3 times $4.99, or $24.91 plus 3 times $3.99 on annual billing |
| Metricool Starter | 7 of 8: no Telegram | $25 | $20 | One brand holds one profile on each network, with four brands to spare |
| SocialPilot Essentials | 7 of 8: no Telegram | $34 | Add ons priced monthly | $30 for 7 accounts plus 1 extra account at $4 |
| Later Starter | 6 of 8: no Bluesky, no Telegram | $25 | $18.75 | One social set with one profile per network |
| Hootsuite Standard, 1 user | 7 of 8: no Telegram | Not shown | $99 | One seat with up to 10 accounts, on annual billing |
| Postiz Team | Yes | $39 | $31 | Standard stops at 5 channels, so 8 channels need Team, which allows 10 |
SocialBee at $44 a month is $15 more than Spreadcast Pro ($44 minus $29), and Buffer Essentials at $48 is $19 more ($48 minus $29). Metricool Starter and Later Starter are the cheapest queues in this table at $25, and Publer Professional follows at $32. A queue is what each of them is: the price does not include the time you spend making every post, and Spreadcast's $29 includes the post.

SocialBee Alternatives by Need: Which Tool for Which Job
The best SocialBee alternatives are different tools for different jobs. Find your case and start there.
For an App With Nothing to Schedule: Spreadcast
If you ship an app and the categories are empty, a recycling tool has nothing to recycle. Spreadcast turns each App Store update, 5 star review and rating milestone into a designed post and publishes it on 8 networks for $29 a month flat. The free plan drafts every post, so paste your link at the start page and judge the designs first. Our page for mobile apps shows what they look like.
For a Free Plan: Buffer
Three channels, 10 scheduled posts each, an AI Assistant and replies to comments, for $0 with no end date. Past 3 channels you pay $6 for each one. When that adds up, our Buffer roundup lists what to use next.
For a Lower Price per Account: Publer
$5 a month for 1 account, $12 for 3 and $20 for 5 on Professional. Move to Business when you want recycling and analytics: $21 for 3 accounts or $35 for 5.
For Evergreen Recycling From $9: RecurPost
Libraries that recycle, bulk CSV scheduling and an inbox on every plan. Two accounts are $9 a month and five are $25, with extra accounts at $4 each.
For One Library and a Whole Team: MeetEdgar
Edgar gives 25 accounts, unlimited categories and 20 team members for $49.99 a month. Eddie at $29.99 stops at 4 categories, so read the limits before you pick the smaller plan.
For Analytics and Client Reports: Metricool
Competitor tracking and 30 days of history for free, then full history and PDF and PPT reports from $25 a month. The best Metricool alternatives covers the rest of that field.
For More Accounts per Dollar: SocialPilot
Seven accounts for $30 a month and 15 accounts with 3 users for $50. Analytics and the inbox start on the $50 plan.
For Instagram and TikTok Planning: Later
A visual planner, a link in bio page and posting time suggestions from $25 a month. No X and no Bluesky.
For a Team Inbox and Monitoring: Hootsuite
One inbox, monitoring and benchmarking from $99 per user a month on annual billing. Agorapulse is the lighter choice at $79 per user on annual billing.
For Open Source and an API: Postiz
Free to self host under AGPL 3.0, or $29 a month hosted for 5 channels, with a public API, webhooks and repeated posts on every plan.
What a Scheduler Does Not Do: Make the Posts
Every tool on this page except one publishes what you bring. That includes SocialBee, which goes further than most: its Copilot generates a strategy with posts to match, and its categories keep good posts in rotation for months. It still starts when you sit down to ask for posts or to load a library. It does not watch your product and decide that today there is something worth posting.
For a business with a stock of tips and articles, that is fine, and recycling is the right tool. For an app founder it misses the point, because the posts worth making are events: version 4.1 shipped, a user left a 5 star review, the app passed 1,000 ratings. None of those can be written in advance and recycled. Somebody has to notice each one, open an editor, lay out a screenshot, write a caption for every network and schedule it. A category system does not shorten that list.
Showing up regularly is what pays. Buffer's study of consistent posting looked at more than 100,000 of its users over 26 weeks and found that those who posted in 20 or more of the weeks got about 5 times the engagements per post of those who posted in 4 weeks or fewer. The study compares Buffer's own users and does not prove cause, but the direction is hard to ignore. Recycling is one way to stay consistent. Having fresh news turned into posts for you is another.
Now put a price on it. For 8 accounts on monthly billing, SocialBee is $44, Buffer Essentials $48, Publer Professional $32 and Postiz Team $39, and each of those buys a queue you fill. Spreadcast Pro is $29 a month flat for 8 networks, with the posts designed, captioned and published from your App Store listing. If your app ships updates, read why your scheduler is not the reason your feed is empty and the real cost of designing social posts by hand before you pay for another queue. If you write your own release notes, our free app release notes generator helps with the first draft.
How to Switch From SocialBee to Another Tool
SocialBee has no export button, so moving takes one email and a little planning. Do it in this order, and keep the subscription running until the new tool has published for a week.
- Step 1
Ask for a CSV Export Before You Cancel
SocialBee's article on exporting content says export is not a self serve option. You email hello@socialbee.com with the name of each content category you want and the workspace it sits in, and the team sends the content back as a CSV file. List every category in one message, the paused ones too.
- Step 2
Write Down the Schedule and the Rules
The CSV file holds posts. Take screenshots of the weekly schedule, so you know which category owns which slot, and note each category's settings: requeue or share once, and any expiry by date or share count. SocialBee's changelog says Category Sequence and random categories are being phased out and replaced with your active categories. Those rules are what you rebuild by hand in the next tool.
- Step 3
Do Not Disconnect Profiles Yet
SocialBee's article on disconnecting an account warns that removing a profile deletes its posts and analytics from SocialBee, though nothing already published on the network is touched. To stop posting without losing data, switch the profile to Not Running. Save any reports you need first: Bootstrap shows 3 months of data, and exported reports are listed on Pro.
- Step 4
Import the Library Into the New Tool
Publer's paid plans take up to 500 posts in one CSV file, RecurPost lists bulk CSV scheduling on every plan, and Buffer accepts up to 100 posts per channel in a file on paid plans. Expect to rename columns to match the new tool's template, and to attach video again by hand where a tool imports text and images only.
- Step 5
Reconnect Every Profile and Rebuild the Slots
Connections never move between tools: you sign in to each network again and approve access. Then recreate the time slots. In RecurPost and MeetEdgar a SocialBee category maps to a library or a category with its own slots. In Publer it maps to a labeled time slot, and each post is set to recycle one by one.
- Step 6
Run Both for a Week, Then Pause or Cancel
SocialBee's article on cancelling, pausing and deleting gives two exits at the bottom of Billing Settings. Pause products stops the schedule for 1 to 3 months and keeps everything. Cancel products ends the plan, and the terms of service process it at the end of the billing cycle with no prorated refund. Deleting the account is a separate request by email and removes all posts and schedules for good.
- Step 7
Moving to Spreadcast Needs No Import
Paste your App Store link at the start page, connect the networks you post to and choose one tap approval or full autopilot. The posts come from your listing, so there is no library to carry over. See app update announcement examples for what the first one will look like, and pricing for the plans.
Is SocialBee Down? The Status Page and the Errors That Look Like an Outage
When posts stop going out, check SocialBee's status page first. It tracks nine parts of the service separately: Analytics, Engage for comments, mentions and DMs, External Integrations for Zapier, Pabbly and Make, the Mobile App, Notifications, ShortLink Integrations, Social Network Integrations, the Web Platform and the Website, each with a 90 day history. You can subscribe to incidents by email, Slack, RSS or Atom. On October 17, 2026 it showed all systems operational and no active incidents.
If the status page is green, the problem is almost always one profile, and SocialBee's posting errors article lists the usual causes. Failed posts collect in the Failed posts tab, which sat under View Your Next Posts until SocialBee began retiring that view and moving it into the Calendar and List views, per its changelog, and an email alert for them can be switched on under Settings, then Notifications. The most common error is an expired authorization: most networks ask you to reauthorize every few months, the profile locks, and you click Reconnect next to it under Social Profiles while logged in to that account.
Three other cases look like an outage and are not. A post to a Facebook personal profile or an Instagram personal or creator profile may be waiting for you in the mobile app, because those publish by reminder. A Facebook error asking you to reduce the amount of data is a known problem on Meta's side that the article says can strike at random, and the post is sometimes live despite the failed label, so check the page before you retry. And a restricted or suspended account blocks native posting as well, so the fix is with the network, not with SocialBee.
Leaving because of a run of failures? Export first. The switching steps above explain how to ask SocialBee for a CSV of your categories before you cancel or disconnect a profile.
When SocialBee Is Still the Right Choice
Plenty of people who read a list like this should stay. SocialBee is the strongest tool on this page for one person with a large stock of posts that age well. Ten categories, recycling with expiry by date or share count, 10 RSS sources, an inbox and AI that is listed as unlimited all come with the $29 plan. RecurPost matches the recycling for less, and MeetEdgar matches the model, but neither puts that whole set in its entry plan.
It is also the right choice at 8 to 10 profiles, or whenever you want approvals without paying per seat. Accelerate is $49 a month for 10 profiles with post approval, CSV uploads and 2 years of analytics. Ten channels on Buffer Essentials cost $60, and approvals there mean Team at $120 (10 times $12). Hootsuite asks $399 a seat for approval workflows.
And it is the right choice if you would rather hand the work to people. ConciergeBee, its agency arm, sells content creation, community management and ad campaigns next to the software, and a move into SocialBee from another scheduler is done for you at $199, or free with a yearly plan, per SocialBee's article on its migration service. No other tool on this page offers that.
Switch when you hit a real wall: nobody has time to make the posts (Spreadcast designs and publishes them for you), you need to start for free (Buffer), you want a lower price on a few accounts (Publer or RecurPost), reports (Metricool), a team inbox with monitoring (Hootsuite) or an API and open code (Postiz). For an app team the first case does not even mean leaving. Keep SocialBee for the evergreen tips and the replies, and let Spreadcast run the recurring app posts.
How We Ranked These SocialBee Alternatives
We make Spreadcast, so read the order with that in mind. It is first because it is the only tool here that makes the posts, and this page says where it stops: apps on the App Store, still image posts, 8 networks. The other nine are ranked by how directly they answer a reason for leaving SocialBee: a free plan (Buffer), a lower price per account (Publer), evergreen recycling elsewhere (RecurPost, MeetEdgar), then the specialists for analytics, accounts per dollar, Instagram, team inboxes and open source (Metricool, SocialPilot, Later, Hootsuite, Postiz).
Seven things decided the order: who makes the post, whether there is a free plan, the price for 5 and for 8 accounts, whether posts can be recycled and on which plan, analytics and inbox depth, which networks are on the vendor's own list, and whether an API is open to customers. The candidates came from what people look for. We collected search suggestions from Bing and DuckDuckGo on October 13, 2026, read the lists other sites publish for this search, and kept only tools whose facts we could confirm on the vendor's own pages.
All prices and limits were read between October 11 and 13, 2026, in US dollars before tax. Facts about SocialBee come from its pricing page, its help center, its terms of service and its about page, all opened on October 13. Where a page did not say something, the tables say Not stated instead of guessing. We did not score ease of use, which is a matter of taste: use the trials, and for an app, use Spreadcast's free plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best SocialBee alternative?
If you have an app on the App Store, Spreadcast: it designs a post for each update, 5 star review and rating milestone and publishes it on 8 networks for $29 a month flat. For a free plan, Buffer covers 3 channels, and for the same evergreen recycling at a lower entry price, RecurPost starts at $9 a month.
Is SocialBee free?
No. SocialBee has a 14 day free trial without a credit card and no free plan, and posting stops when the trial ends. Paid plans start at $29 a month, or $290 a year, per SocialBee's pricing page.
How much does SocialBee cost?
Bootstrap is $29 a month for 5 profiles, Accelerate $49 for 10 and Pro $99 for 25, or $290, $490 and $990 a year. Agency plans start at $179 a month for 50 profiles, and a set of 5 extra profiles is a $15 add on.
Is there a free alternative to SocialBee?
For an app founder, Spreadcast's free plan drafts every post for 1 app, ready to download. Among schedulers, Buffer's free plan covers 3 channels, Publer's covers 3 accounts without X, and Metricool's adds analytics with a cap of 20 posts a month.
SocialBee vs Buffer: which is better?
It depends on the number of profiles and on recycling. Buffer is free for 3 channels and costs less up to 7, apart from a tie at 5 ($30 against $29), and SocialBee costs less from 8 up ($44 against $48). SocialBee recycles evergreen posts by category, which Buffer's pricing page does not list.
SocialBee vs Hootsuite: which should I choose?
Choose SocialBee for price and recycling: 10 profiles with post approval cost $49 a month. Choose Hootsuite, from $99 per user a month on annual billing, when several people answer customers and you need monitoring, benchmarking and message routing.
Which SocialBee alternatives recycle evergreen content?
RecurPost and MeetEdgar recycle by library or category on every plan, as SocialBee does. Publer recycles post by post on its Business plan, Postiz repeats posts on every plan, and Metricool rotates a list with Autolists.
Can I export my posts from SocialBee before I cancel?
Yes, by email. SocialBee's help center says export is not a self serve option: you send the category names and the workspace to its support address and receive a CSV file. Ask before you cancel or disconnect a profile.
