About Spreadcast

Spreadcast turns your app's new versions and rating milestones into social posts. This page explains what it does and how we research the guides on this site.

What Spreadcast Does

Spreadcast is app marketing on autopilot for apps on the Apple App Store. You paste your App Store link once at the start page, and Spreadcast checks your listing every day.

When a new version ships, it designs a post about the update with your real app screenshots in an iPhone frame and your app's colors and fonts, and writes a caption for each network. It also makes a post when your app reaches a rating milestone. It publishes to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram and Discord, plus YouTube for video posts, on full autopilot or after one tap of approval.

It works with the App Store only, not Google Play. You can also create and post from Claude or ChatGPT through the Spreadcast MCP server. Plans are on the pricing page.

How We Research and Write Our Guides

Primary sources come first. For the App Store that means Apple's own developer documentation, App Store Connect help and Apple's published reports; for each social network, its own help pages; for market numbers, the company that measured them, named with the period the number covers.

Every outside number, rule and price on a page links to the page it was read on, at the point where it is used, and each page ends with its list of sources and the date they were last checked. When two sources disagree, we show both and explain the difference instead of picking the convenient one. When something cannot be verified, we leave it out and say so.

We do not invent statistics, quotes, case studies or results. The charts and diagrams are our own, drawn from the data the page cites, and videos are embedded from the people who published them, with our own caption saying what they show.

Before a page goes live, an automatic check confirms that every source link still loads, that each source is listed, and that internal links point to pages that exist. When a page is rewritten, its date changes with it.

How We Write About Other Tools

Spreadcast is our product, and the comparison pages say so. Other tools are described from their own websites, pricing pages and help documentation, read on the date the page shows, and each comparison says when another tool is the better fit for a job Spreadcast does not do.

Free Tools and Guides

The free tools run in your browser with no account, and the resources and guides cover the App Store and social media for app makers.

Contact and Corrections

Write to contact@spreadcast.app. If you find a mistake on any page, tell us the page and what is wrong; we check it against the source, fix it and update the page's date.
