What Postcron Is in 2026, and Who This List of Postcron Alternatives Is For
Postcron is a social media scheduler best known for one feature: you fill in a spreadsheet, upload it, and every row becomes a scheduled post. It is still operating. On October 13, 2026 the Postcron homepage called it "the easiest way to schedule posts", its counter showed 1,022,290,703 posts sent to 6,700,784 social accounts, the pricing page offered a 7 day trial, and the homepage footer carried the year 2026.
It publishes to Facebook Pages and Groups, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn profiles and pages, Pinterest boards and X, per the questions answered on Postcron's pricing page. Around the scheduler sit a Bulk Uploader that reads a CSV file of up to 1,000 rows, an Image Uploader for up to 300 pictures, an automatic watermark, a Content Gallery with an RSS reader, an image editor called ArtStudio, Insights for Facebook and Instagram, and an AI Text Creator, all described in Postcron's help center. Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, Google Business Profile and Telegram appear on none of those pages.
People who search for Postcron alternatives usually want one of seven things: a network Postcron does not have, a bulk upload without a low cap on queued posts, a free plan that goes further, direct posting where Postcron sends a phone reminder, analytics beyond Facebook and Instagram, a product that ships updates more often, or a tool that makes the posts instead of only queueing them.
The list below covers all seven. We make Spreadcast. It comes first because it is the only tool here that designs the posts for you, and the other eight are ranked by how well they answer one of those reasons for leaving Postcron. Every fact about Postcron was read on its own pages on October 13, 2026. Prices and limits for the other tools were read on their own pages between October 11 and 13, 2026, and the source is linked beside each claim. Postcron Pricing in 2026: Plans, Yearly Prices and Limits
Postcron has a free version and four paid plans, all priced in US dollars. Prices, account counts and feature rows come from Postcron's pricing page, and the Instagram caps from the help article on how many accounts each plan allows, both read on October 13, 2026.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Social accounts | Pending posts | Team members | What the plan adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 3, with 1 Instagram at most. No Pinterest and no X | 10 | None | Scheduling by date and time, video up to 20 MB. No bulk upload, watermark or calendar |
| Personal | $9.99 a month | $99 a year, shown as $8 a month | 10 plus 1 X account, with 2 Instagram at most | 100 | None | Bulk Uploader, watermark, Pinterest, X, Calendar View, Hashtag Finder, Content Gallery, Post Now |
| Entrepreneur | $29 a month | $290 a year, shown as $24 a month | 21 plus 2 X accounts, with 6 Instagram at most | 500 | 1 | 12 months of post history, Insights and comment moderation, AI Text Creator, direct TikTok posting |
| Corporate | $69 a month | $690 a year, shown as $58 a month | 40 plus 4 X accounts, with 10 Instagram at most | 2,000 | 5 | The Entrepreneur features with higher limits |
| Enterprise | $199 a month | $1,990 a year, shown as $166 a month | 140 plus 8 X accounts, with 40 Instagram at most | 3,000 | 15 | The Entrepreneur features with the highest limits |
Yearly billing is priced as ten months: $290 is 10 times $29, and $99 is 10 times $9.99 rounded down. Divided by 12, the yearly plans work out to $8.25, $24.17, $57.50 and $165.83 a month. Every paid plan starts with a 7 day trial. A pending post is a post waiting in the queue, counted across all your accounts together, and each Facebook Page or Group, LinkedIn profile or page, and Pinterest board counts as one account.
Is Postcron Free? What the Postcron Free Plan Includes
Yes, with tight limits. The help article on Postcron's free version says the free version has no time limit and covers 3 social accounts: 1 Instagram account at most, and the rest from Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn. You can hold 10 pending posts at a time, and a slot opens again when a post goes out. Video is allowed up to 20 MB in MP4.
What the Postcron free plan leaves out is most of what the product is known for. The list of premium features in Postcron's help center puts the Bulk Uploader, the watermark, the Content Gallery, the Hashtag Finder, the Calendar View, posting to Pinterest, posting to X and the Post Now button on paid plans only. So a free account cannot upload a spreadsheet, cannot pin, and cannot publish a post right away: it can only schedule one. The article on post history adds that free accounts see their past posts for 24 hours, Personal for 10 days and Entrepreneur and above for 12 months.
Other free plans go further in at least one direction. Buffer's free plan also covers 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts each, but X can be one of them, and Buffer's guide to uploading posts in bulk includes a CSV upload of 10 posts per channel. Metricool's free plan caps publishing at 20 posts a month and still lets you import a CSV, per Metricool's own guide to importing a CSV. Spreadcast's free plan drafts every post for one app. The free plan table further down sets them side by side.
Two details about the paid trial matter before you start one. The article on cancelling a Postcron subscription says a trial needs a valid payment method and charges it automatically when the 7 days end, and the help center limits trials to first time subscribers. Postcron's terms state that subscriptions are not refundable for the period they were bought for, so cancel from Settings before the renewal date if you are leaving. After a cancellation the paid features run until the plan expires, then the account drops to the free version.
Postcron Review: What Its Own Pages Show in October 2026
We found no notice of a shutdown, a sale or a change of owner on any Postcron page. The seller named on the Postcron App listing on the App Store is SocialTools USA Inc., and the help center covers changes that are recent by any measure: direct posting to TikTok, an AI Text Creator, the rename of Twitter to X on the pricing page, and a guide to Meta's move to work accounts. This is a product somebody maintains.
The pace is slow, though, and the pages show it. The same App Store listing gives the current version as 4.1.1, dated July 1, 2024, with the release before that in May 2024 and the one before in August 2022, and it shows a rating of 4.0 from 100 ratings. Postcron's blog feed lists its newest article as January 2, 2024 and the one before it as January 10, 2020. The plans page and the help center still carry a 2022 footer, the privacy policy inside Postcron's terms says it took effect on May 24, 2018, and Postcron's bulk upload page still tells you to build the file in Excel or Google Docs and names Google+ among the networks.
Slow upkeep is the likeliest reason for the gap most people notice first: Threads and Bluesky, which Buffer, Publer and Postiz all list today, are not on Postcron. Sign in is another dated corner. The help center names three ways to log in, a Facebook, Twitter or Google account, and warns that picking a different one from last time can open a second, empty account by mistake.
What still holds up is the core. The Bulk Uploader is documented in nine help articles, the limits are stated in numbers, and the entry price is the lowest on this page for ten accounts. We did not test how reliably posts go out, and we could not open the review sites that publish star ratings for Postcron on the day we checked, so this page leaves those ratings out instead of repeating them second hand.
Is Postcron Safe? What Its Privacy Policy Says It Collects
Is Postcron safe to connect to your pages? It is a real business with public prices, a maintained help center and an App Store listing, so the useful question is not whether it is a scam but what it holds once you connect. The privacy policy inside Postcron's terms is specific. When you connect Facebook or Instagram, Postcron says it may collect your profile image, display name, page or profile ID, access tokens and the posts you send, including engagement data such as clicks, likes, shares and impressions. At sign up it takes your name, email, username and time zone. Card payments go to an outside payment provider, and Postcron says it does not process them itself.
Three clauses are worth reading before you connect a client's page. Postcron says it is based in the United States and may store personal information with affiliates, partners or service providers inside or outside the European Economic Area. It may sell or transfer its assets, your personal information included, in a merger, an acquisition or a sale of the company. And it describes administrative, physical and electronic safeguards while saying plainly that no measure is perfect, with a promise to tell you of a breach by email or on the site without unreasonable delay.
Leaving is documented too. You can correct your details from the account settings page or by writing to support, and you can ask for deletion, with the warning that deleted data cannot be restored and that some copies may stay for backups, fraud prevention or legal reasons. When you stop using Postcron, also remove it from the connected apps list in each network's own settings, so the permission you granted is withdrawn on the network's side as well.
One more safety note, because Postcron APK premium is among Google's suggestions for Postcron. A modified Android file from a download site is the riskiest way to use any scheduler, since it asks you to sign in to your pages through code nobody can check. Postcron links to its own Android app from the Postcron homepage, and its iPhone app is the App Store listing above. Premium features come with a paid plan, and the 7 day trial is the safe way to try them.
Why People Look for a Postcron Alternative
Each of these comes from Postcron's own pages. Some are choices Postcron made, and two are rules set by Meta that every scheduler lives with.
No Threads, Bluesky, YouTube or Google Business Profile
Postcron's network list stops at Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest and X. Buffer lists 12 channels and Publer 13, with Threads, Bluesky, YouTube and Google Business Profile on both. Spreadcast publishes to Threads, Bluesky and Telegram along with the five networks Postcron shares with it.
The Queue Cap Is Lower Than the Bulk File
A Postcron CSV can hold 1,000 rows, per the help article on building the spreadsheet. The plan decides how many can wait in the queue: the article on the pending posts limit gives 100 on Personal, 500 on Entrepreneur and 2,000 on Corporate, across all accounts together. By those numbers a full 1,000 row file needs the $69 plan to be scheduled in one go.
Facebook Groups and Personal Instagram Post by Phone Reminder
Postcron's article on Facebook Groups says group posts are finished from a push notification on your phone, and its article on Instagram posting says the same for accounts connected as personal. The group rule is Meta's: the Graph API changelog for version 19.0 removed the Groups API on April 22, 2024, which is why Postcron cannot publish to a group for you. For Instagram, connect a Business account and posting is direct.
Direct TikTok Posting Starts at $29 a Month
Postcron's TikTok article offers two ways to publish a video: a notification that you finish in the TikTok app, or direct posting, which it limits to Entrepreneur plans and above. On the free version and on Personal, every TikTok still needs a tap on your phone.
Bulk Upload, Pinterest and X Are Paid, and X Is Rationed
None of the three is on the free version. On paid plans X accounts are counted apart from the rest: 1 on Personal, 2 on Entrepreneur, 4 on Corporate and 8 on Enterprise. The article on scheduling tweets adds that threads are not available. On Pinterest every board uses one of your account slots, and Postcron's daily posting limits stop a board at 15 pins a day.
Insights Cover Facebook and Instagram Only
Postcron's Insights show growth, reach, demographics and post history for Facebook and Instagram pages, with a PDF report, from the Entrepreneur plan up. The data comes from Meta. The help center describes nothing for LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest or X, and no competitor tracking. Metricool is built around both.
A Team Member Does Not Share Your Accounts
The article on how teams work in Postcron says a team member borrows the leader's paid features and gets no access to the leader's account, settings or connected social accounts. Two people see each other's scheduled posts only when both have connected the same account. The help center describes no roles, and approval is a draft switch on each post.
A Slow Release Pace
The mobile app was last updated on July 1, 2024, and the blog has added one article since the start of 2021. If you want a tool that adds networks as they open, Buffer, Publer and Postiz all list Threads and Bluesky today.
The Spreadsheet Is Still Yours to Fill
A bulk upload saves the clicks. It does not write the rows. A 1,000 row file is 1,000 captions and up to 1,000 image links that somebody has to produce first, and the AI Text Creator writes one caption per prompt on the $29 plan. If the feed is empty because nobody makes the posts, a bigger upload limit changes nothing.
Postcron Alternatives at a Glance
Postcron is in the first row as the baseline, and Spreadcast, which is ours, comes next. Starting prices are for monthly billing in US dollars unless the row says otherwise. The last column is the one a bulk limit leaves out: who makes the post.

The 9 Best Postcron Alternatives, With Prices, Pros and Cons
Spreadcast is ours and comes first, because it is the only tool here that makes the posts for you. The eight after it are ranked by how directly they answer a reason for leaving Postcron: the bulk schedulers first, then the team and agency tools, then the specialists for analytics, Instagram and open source. Prices were read from each vendor's own pages between October 11 and 13, 2026.
- 1
Spreadcast
Free, then $29 a month flat with publishing to 8 networks includedBest if the spreadsheet is empty: it designs your app's posts and publishes them for you
Spreadcast is ours, and it starts where a bulk uploader stops. Postcron gives you a fast way to schedule a thousand posts that somebody has already written. Spreadcast writes and designs them: you paste your App Store link once at the start page, it reads the public listing every day, and each new version, each new 5 star review and each rating milestone turns into a designed post. In a week with no release it drafts a post about one feature of the app, so the feed keeps moving. Every post is a 1080 by 1350 image built from your icon, screenshots and colors, with a caption written for each network.
On Pro, Spreadcast publishes those posts to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram and Discord, plus YouTube for video posts, after one tap of approval or on full autopilot. Each post takes the next free slot on a calendar, and you can drag it to another day. A post that quotes a reviewer always waits for you, because Apple's ratings and reviews guidance allows reviews in marketing only with the reviewer's permission. Setup is the App Store link: no spreadsheet, no template columns, no image hosting and no code.
Postcron Entrepreneur and Spreadcast Pro both cost $29 a month, so compare what each $29 buys. Postcron gives you 23 account slots on 6 networks, a queue of 500 posts and an AI box that drafts one caption per prompt. Spreadcast gives you 8 networks with every app post designed, captioned and published. Postcron Personal is cheaper at $9.99, which is $19.01 less ($29 minus $9.99), and that price buys the upload button: the posts in the file are still yours to write and design. The free plan drafts every post for 1 app, ready to download with a small Spreadcast mark, and Studio is $79 a month for 5 apps and 3 seats, with a separate brand for each app.
It is built for apps on the App Store and makes still image posts, with basic post stats. If you already pay for Postcron, keep it for one off posts, video and X, and let Spreadcast run the recurring app posts. See how that looks for mobile apps, or read how an AI social media manager differs from a scheduler.
Pros
- Designs each post for you from your icon, screenshots and colors
- Publishes to 8 networks, with a caption written for each one
- Starts from one App Store link: no spreadsheet and no image links
- The free plan drafts every post for 1 app
- $29 a month flat, with design, captions and publishing included
- MCP server so Claude or ChatGPT can design posts, write captions and schedule them, drafts only by default
Cons
- Built for apps on the App Store
- Still image posts, so keep an editor for video
- 2
Publer
Free, then from $5 a month for 1 accountBest Postcron alternative for bulk uploads from a spreadsheet
Publer is the closest match for the way people use Postcron: a low price per account and a bulk tool at the center. Publer's guide to scheduling in bulk says one CSV file creates up to 500 posts, and a separate bulk upload takes up to 500 photos, videos and GIFs and turns each into its own post. The template is a Google Sheets document you copy. Professional starts at $5 a month for one account and includes unlimited scheduling, per Publer's plans and pricing article, so nothing like Postcron's pending posts cap stands between the file and the queue.
The network list is where Publer pulls ahead. Publer's supported networks article names 13: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, YouTube, WordPress, TikTok, Telegram, Mastodon, Threads and Bluesky. That covers everything Postcron lacks. Paid plans also include RSS automations, a media library and first comments.
On price, Postcron wins from three accounts up. On October 11, 2026 Publer's price selector showed Professional at $12 a month for 3 accounts, $20 for 5, $32 for 8 and $36 for 10, with 20% off on yearly billing. Postcron Personal is $9.99 for 10 accounts plus one X account, so ten accounts cost $26.01 more on Publer ($36 minus $9.99). What the extra money buys is the seven networks Postcron does not have and a queue without a ceiling. Our Publer comparison goes deeper.
The free plan covers 3 accounts with 10 scheduled posts each, without X, and Publer's article on CSV limits says a free account can upload 5 posts per CSV. Analytics, post recycling and unlimited AI prompts sit on Business, which starts at $10 a month for one account. Pick Publer if the bulk file is your whole workflow. Skip it if ten cheap accounts on Facebook and LinkedIn are all you need.
Pros
- Up to 500 posts per CSV on paid plans, with unlimited scheduling
- 13 networks, with Threads, Bluesky, YouTube and Telegram among them
- A free plan with 3 accounts and a 5 post CSV upload
- A low entry price: $5 a month for 1 account
Cons
- Costs more than Postcron from 3 accounts up: $36 a month for 10
- No X on the free plan
- Analytics need the Business plan
- 3
Buffer
Free for 3 channels, then $6 per channel a monthBest free Postcron alternative, with X and bulk upload included
Buffer answers the search for a free plan that does more than Postcron's. Buffer's pricing page lists a Free plan with up to 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel at one time, with no end date, and X, LinkedIn and Bluesky can all be among the three. Buffer's guide to uploading posts in bulk puts CSV upload on every plan: up to 10 posts per channel per upload on Free and up to 100 posts per channel per upload on paid plans.
The bulk upload is simpler than Postcron's and narrower. The template has columns for text, image URL, tags and posting time, plus a board name for Pinterest, and a blank time sends the post to the next open slot in your queue. It handles text and posts with one image only: video, Reels and carousels are not supported, and neither is YouTube. Postcron's file accepts several image links in one row, so heavy carousel schedulers lose something in the move.
Paid plans are priced per channel. Essentials is $6 per channel a month billed monthly or $5 billed yearly, and Team, which adds approval workflows and unlimited users, is $12 or $10, per Buffer's machine readable pricing file. Buffer publishes to 12 channels, with Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, Google Business Profile and Mastodon on the list.
Postcron vs Buffer comes down to how many accounts you run. At 3 channels Buffer is free and does more than Postcron's free version. At 10 channels Buffer Essentials is $60 a month (10 times $6) and Postcron Personal is $9.99, a gap of $50.01. Buffer's price buys the networks Postcron lacks, analytics with unlimited history and replies to comments. Our Buffer comparison sets Buffer beside Spreadcast.
Pros
- A free plan for 3 channels, with X allowed
- CSV bulk upload on every plan, the free one included
- 12 channels, with Threads, Bluesky and YouTube
- Analytics and replies to comments from the same tool
Cons
- The price climbs with every channel: $60 a month for 10
- Bulk upload takes text and posts with one image only
- 100 posts per channel per upload, against 1,000 rows in a Postcron file
- 4
SocialBee
From $29 a month for 5 profilesBest for evergreen posts that recycle from a spreadsheet
SocialBee treats a spreadsheet as a library instead of a calendar. You import posts into content categories, give each category slots in a weekly schedule, and SocialBee keeps drawing from the category, with recycling for evergreen posts. SocialBee's pricing page lists Bootstrap at $29 a month ($290 a year) for 5 social profiles and one user, Accelerate at $49 ($490 a year) for 10 profiles, and Pro at $99 ($990 a year) for 25 profiles with 3 users per workspace.
CSV imports start on Accelerate. SocialBee's help article on importing content from CSV files describes a six column template: text, link, image URLs, GIF URLs, video URLs and an optional exact posting time. It asks you to keep a file to 300 items or fewer, and it says carousel posts cannot be uploaded by CSV. Imported posts can be set to expire after a number of shares or days, which is the control Postcron's Multiply and Reuse options do not give you.
SocialBee publishes to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile and Bluesky, and it handles comments, mentions and direct messages for Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts. Accelerate also adds a bulk editor, post approval and 2 years of analytics.
The price sits well above Postcron. Postcron Entrepreneur is $29 a month for 23 account slots. SocialBee Bootstrap is $29 for 5 profiles with no CSV import, and the plan that has the import is $49 for 10. There is no free plan, only a 14 day trial without a card. Choose it when the same strong posts should come around again on a schedule. Skip it if you upload a fresh file every month and never reuse a row.
Pros
- Content categories that recycle evergreen posts on every plan
- CSV import with expiry rules per post from the Accelerate plan
- Threads, Bluesky, YouTube and Google Business Profile supported
- Replies to comments, mentions and direct messages
Cons
- No free plan
- CSV import needs the $49 plan, and a file should stay under 300 items
- 5 profiles for $29, where Postcron gives 23 account slots
- 5
Hootsuite
From $99 a month per user, billed annuallyBest full suite with a shared inbox and listening
Hootsuite is what you move to when the missing piece in Postcron is people, replies and monitoring. Hootsuite's plans page lists Standard at $99 per user a month on annual billing for up to 10 social accounts, with one inbox for messages, brand and competitor monitoring and AI drafts. Professional is $199 with unlimited social accounts, and Advanced is $399 with approval workflows and message routing. See our Hootsuite comparison.
It has a bulk tool as well. Hootsuite's guide to bulk scheduling, updated on June 21, 2026, sets a maximum of 350 posts per upload, and posts already scheduled to an account count toward the 350. The CSV has three columns: date and time, text, and an optional link. Images are not part of the file, so you attach media to each post after the upload. Times must be at least 20 minutes ahead and end in a 5 or a 0. For a file full of image posts, Postcron's uploader does more.
Hootsuite's integrations page names Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest and Bluesky. Postcron vs Hootsuite on price is no contest for a solo user: $9.99 against $99. For a team the gap widens, because Hootsuite charges per seat. Postcron Enterprise is $199 a month with 15 team members, and 15 seats on Hootsuite Standard are $1,485 a month (15 times $99).
What that money buys is everything Postcron does not attempt: a unified inbox on every plan, social listening, benchmarking against competitors, automated replies and custom reports on Professional. There is no free plan, only a 14 day trial without a card, and the plans page says trial accounts cannot bulk schedule. Choose it when several people answer customers from one screen.
Pros
- One inbox for messages on every plan
- Brand and competitor monitoring from the Standard plan
- Bulk Composer for up to 350 posts per upload
- Threads, Bluesky and YouTube supported
Cons
- No free plan, and priced per user: $99 a month each on annual billing
- The bulk file carries text and links only, with media added by hand
- Approval workflows start at $399 per user
- 6
SocialPilot
From $30 a month for 7 accountsBest for agencies that manage many client accounts
SocialPilot shows up on other lists of Postcron competitors, and it suits the same buyer one size up: an agency with client accounts. SocialPilot's pricing file lists Essentials at $30 a month ($25.50 billed annually) for 7 accounts and one user, Standard at $50 ($42.50) for 15 accounts and 3 users, Premium at $100 ($85) for 25 accounts and 6 users, and Ultimate at $200 ($170) for 50 accounts. Extra accounts are $4 a month each.
Check the plan before you count on the bulk tool. The comparison table on the plans page puts bulk scheduling and CSV uploads on Premium and Ultimate only, along with watermarks on images, the other feature Postcron users tend to ask about. SocialPilot's bulk scheduling page says you can schedule up to 500 posts from a CSV and add several images and a first comment inside the file.
So the same job costs very different amounts. Bulk upload with a watermark is $9.99 a month on Postcron Personal and $100 a month on SocialPilot Premium, ten times the price. What Premium adds is what an agency pays for: client approval, white label reports, an inbox, analytics and 6 users on shared accounts, where a Postcron team member only borrows the leader's features.
SocialPilot publishes to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Google Business Profile and Bluesky. There is no free plan, and the trial runs 14 days without a card. Choose it when clients need to approve posts and receive reports under your logo. Skip it if you are one person with a spreadsheet.
Pros
- Client approval and white label reports on Premium
- Up to 500 posts per CSV, with several images per row
- Threads, Bluesky, YouTube and Google Business Profile supported
- Extra accounts at $4 a month each
Cons
- Bulk scheduling and watermarks need the $100 Premium plan
- No free plan
- Essentials has no analytics and no inbox
- 7
Metricool
Free, then from $25 a monthBest when you need analytics on every network
Metricool started as an analytics tool, and it answers the thinnest part of Postcron. Its free plan includes 30 days of analytics and 5 competitor profiles along with scheduling for 1 brand and 20 posts a month, with LinkedIn and X left out. Starter is $25 a month billed monthly ($20 billed annually) for up to 5 brands, with LinkedIn, unlimited analytics history and reports in PDF and PPT, per Metricool's pricing page. See also our Metricool comparison.
Its CSV import is the most generous on paper. Metricool's help article on scheduling posts in batch with a CSV file says there is no limit on the number of posts and recommends up to 50 per file, because large files process slowly. One row can target several networks through true or false columns for Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Threads and Bluesky, and it accepts up to 10 media links per post. Metricool's own guide to importing a CSV, dated September 2, 2026, says the import works on the free plan.
Postcron's Insights stop at Facebook and Instagram and start at $29 a month. Metricool keeps the full history on paid plans, tracks up to 100 competitors on Starter, emails a monthly report and reads ads data. Pricing is per brand, and one brand holds one profile on each network, so the account math differs from Postcron's: five brands cover five clients, and a second Facebook Page for the same client needs a second brand.
Two costs sit outside the headline. X is a paid extra at $10 a month for each connected account, so one brand with X on Starter is $35 a month ($25 plus $10), and team roles and post approval start on Advanced at $67 a month billed monthly. Choose Metricool when reports matter as much as the queue.
Pros
- Free plan with 30 days of analytics, 5 competitor profiles and CSV import
- One CSV row can publish to ten networks
- Full analytics history and PDF and PPT reports on Starter
- Threads, Bluesky, YouTube and Google Business Profile supported
Cons
- The free plan stops at 20 posts a month and leaves out LinkedIn and X
- X costs $10 a month per connected account on top of a paid plan
- One profile per network in each brand

Later
From $25 a monthBest for planning an Instagram and TikTok grid visually
Later plans around the picture, where Postcron plans around the row. Its visual planner lets you drag media onto a calendar and see the Instagram grid before anything publishes, with a link in bio page and posting time suggestions on the entry plan. Later's pricing page lists Starter at $25 a month billed monthly ($18.75 billed yearly) for 1 social set of 8 profiles, one per network, with 1 user and 30 posts per profile a month. Our Later comparison has more.
Do not move to Later for the spreadsheet. Later's help center glossary defines bulk upload as adding many photos and videos to the media library at once, from your computer, Google Drive or Dropbox, and Quick Schedule as a set of weekly time slots you drag that media onto. It has no entry for a CSV import, and we found no article describing one on October 13, 2026.
Growth is $50 a month with 2 social sets, 2 users and 180 posts per profile, and adds approval workflows, a social inbox and a year of analytics. Scale, at $110 a month, removes the post cap. Later's networks are Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube and Snapchat, with no X and no Bluesky. Later's plan reference guide also lists a free plan with 12 posts per profile a month, which the pricing page does not show.
Against Postcron, Later costs more and holds fewer accounts: one profile per network for $25, where Postcron Personal gives 10 slots for $9.99. It fits a brand whose marketing lives on Instagram and TikTok and whose problem is how the grid looks, which no bulk file solves.
Pros
- A visual planner built around the Instagram and TikTok feed
- Link in bio page and posting time suggestions on every paid plan
- Threads, YouTube and Snapchat supported
Cons
- No CSV import in the help center, so no upload from Excel or Google Sheets
- No X and no Bluesky
- Starter stops at 30 posts per profile a month and 1 user

Postiz
Free to self host, hosted from $29 a monthBest open source alternative, with an API on every plan
Postiz is the choice if you would rather own the scheduler than rent it. The Postiz repository is licensed under AGPL 3.0, so you can run the whole product on your own server for $0 in license fees. The hosted version has four plans on the Postiz pricing page: Standard at $29 a month for 5 channels, Team at $39 for 10, Pro at $49 for 30 and Ultimate at $99 for 100, each with a 7 day trial and no free hosted plan.
For someone who schedules from a spreadsheet, the interesting part is the developer access. Every hosted plan includes a public API, webhooks, a command line tool and an MCP server, so a script can read your sheet and create the posts with no upload step at all. Postiz's page for scheduling on X also says you can upload a CSV to queue weeks of posts, though we found no page in its docs that sets out the columns or a row limit, so test that during the trial.
The channel list runs past 30 destinations and includes everything Postcron lacks: Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, Google Business Profile and Telegram, plus Reddit, Discord and Mastodon. Team members are included from the $39 plan with no seat price. Against Postcron, Postiz costs more at the low end ($29 for 5 channels against $9.99 for 10 accounts) and less at the top: 100 channels are $99 on Postiz, and Postcron Enterprise is $199 for 148 account slots.
Self hosting is free in money and costly in time: you register your own developer app with most networks, and the pricing page says those reviews can take weeks. If a one time price appeals more than a subscription, Mixpost's pricing page lists a self hosted Pro edition at $299 once. Our list of the best Postiz alternatives covers that field in full.
Pros
- Open source under AGPL 3.0 and free to self host
- API, webhooks and an MCP server on every hosted plan
- 30 plus destinations, with Threads, Bluesky and Telegram
- Team members included from $39 a month
Cons
- No free hosted plan
- Self hosting needs a server and your own developer apps
- The CSV upload is named on a channel page and not documented in the docs
Bulk Social Media Scheduler Limits and Features, Tool by Tool
If you came to Postcron for the Bulk Uploader, these are the numbers to compare. Each cell comes from the vendor's own pricing or help page between October 11 and 13, 2026. Not stated means the page we read did not say, which is different from a no.
| Tool | Posts per bulk upload | Plan that includes it | Images in the file | AI | Analytics | Team and approvals |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Postcron (baseline) | 1,000 rows per CSV, under 5 MB. The queue holds 100, 500, 2,000 or 3,000 by plan | Every paid plan, from $9.99 a month | Yes, by public link, several per row | One caption per prompt, from Entrepreneur | Facebook and Instagram only, from Entrepreneur | 1 to 15 team members who share features, not accounts. | Later | No CSV import found. Media files in bulk only | Not stated | Media library, dragged onto time slots | 5 credits a month on Starter, 50 on Growth | 3 months on Starter, 1 year on Growth | Approvals on Growth, with 2 users |
| Postiz | Not stated for CSV. The API takes posts from a script | Every hosted plan | Not stated | AI agent and copilot on every plan | Account metrics on some platforms | Team members from Team, preview links for review |
Sources are the help and pricing pages linked in each entry above. One caution applies to every row: a bulk limit is a ceiling on uploads, and each network still has its own daily posting rules. Postcron's daily posting limits, for example, are 25 posts for an Instagram Business account, 20 for a LinkedIn page and 15 for a Pinterest board.
How to Schedule Posts From Excel or Google Sheets
The method is nearly the same in every bulk social media scheduler: one row per post, saved as a CSV file. The details below are where uploads usually fail, taken from the vendors' own instructions.
- Step 1
Start From the Tool's Own Template
Column layouts are strict and differ by tool. Postcron's spreadsheet instructions ask for exactly eight columns, A to H: text, year, month, day, hour, minute, image link and link. Buffer's bulk upload guide wants text, image URL, tags and posting time, with titles that match its template letter for letter. Hootsuite wants date, text and link. SocialBee's CSV article has six columns and asks you never to edit the first row. Download the template from inside the tool instead of building one from memory.
- Step 2
Write One Row per Post
Each row becomes one post, so five rows are five posts. Leave a cell empty when a post has no link or no image. On Postcron, text alone makes a text post, text with an image link makes an image post, and text with a link makes a link post. Instagram accepts neither text alone nor link posts, so an Instagram row always needs an image.
- Step 3
Host Every Image at a Public Link
A CSV cannot carry a picture. It carries the address of one. Postcron and Buffer both ask for a direct link that ends in an image extension such as .jpg or .png, and Postcron suggests opening the link in a private browser window to prove it is public. Buffer warns that images over 5 MB may fail. If your pictures live on your computer, Postcron's Image Uploader and Publer's bulk upload take the files themselves.
- Step 4
Use a 24 Hour Clock and One Date Format
Write 18 for 6 PM. Postcron splits the date and time over five columns, Buffer uses a single posting time column, and Hootsuite needs times at least 20 minutes ahead that end in a 5 or a 0. Excel is the usual culprit when dates break: Hootsuite's bulk scheduling guide says it can turn a four digit year into two digits, and Buffer's says it often reformats date cells on its own.
- Step 5
Save as CSV in UTF 8
Accents, emoji and symbols break when a file is saved in an older encoding. Postcron's help center recommends Google Sheets because it always saves in Unicode: choose File, Download, comma separated values. Buffer calls Google Sheets the more reliable option too, and Metricool's CSV instructions tell Excel users to pick the CSV UTF 8 format, since a standard CSV from Excel is something else.
- Step 6
Upload a Small File First and Read the Preview
Send five rows before you send five hundred. Every tool here shows a preview with errors flagged, and Postcron marks rows without a valid date in red until you set one or use its Automagically option, which spreads posts across a time range for you. Then mind the caps: 100 queued posts on Postcron Personal, 100 per channel per upload on Buffer, and 350 on Hootsuite with posts you already scheduled counted in.
- Step 7
Skip the Spreadsheet for App Posts
If the rows you were about to type are release announcements, review quotes and rating milestones for an app, there is nothing to type. Spreadcast designs those posts from your App Store listing and publishes them for you. Paste your link at the start page, or use the free app release notes generator to turn a changelog into copy first.
Which Networks Each Postcron Alternative Publishes To
We checked ten networks on each vendor's own list: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube and Google Business Profile. Read this table if a missing network is your reason for leaving Postcron.
| Tool | Publishes to | Missing from the 10 |
|---|---|---|
| Postcron (baseline) | Facebook Pages, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest and X. Facebook Groups and personal Instagram accounts by phone reminder. Pinterest and X on paid plans only | Threads, Bluesky, YouTube, Google Business Profile |
| Spreadcast | Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram and Discord, plus YouTube for video posts, with a caption written for each | X, YouTube, Google Business Profile |
| Publer | All 10, plus Telegram, Mastodon and WordPress. X on paid plans only | None |
| Buffer | All 10, plus Mastodon and Substack | None |
| SocialBee | All 10 | None |
| Hootsuite | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, Threads, Bluesky and YouTube | Google Business Profile is not on its native list |
| SocialPilot | All 10 | None |
| Metricool | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, YouTube and Google Business Profile, plus Twitch. LinkedIn on paid plans, X as a paid add on | None on a paid plan with the X add on |
| Later | Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads and YouTube, plus Snapchat | X, Bluesky, Google Business Profile |
| Postiz | All 10, plus Telegram, Reddit, Discord and Mastodon among 30 plus destinations | None |
Account types differ inside a network (pages, profiles, groups, boards), so check yours before you move. Meta removed its Groups API on April 22, 2024, so no tool publishes to a Facebook Group through it, and Postcron's answer is a reminder on your phone. If X is central to your marketing, note that Spreadcast does not post there: keep Postcron or Buffer for it.
What 8 Networks Cost on Postcron and on Each Alternative
Take one brand that posts to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and Telegram: 8 networks. Prices are in US dollars before tax, read between October 11 and 13, 2026, and the last column shows the sum. Every scheduler price buys publishing for posts you make. The Spreadcast price also covers designing and captioning them.
| Tool and plan | Covers of the 8 | Billed monthly | Billed yearly, per month | How the number is worked out |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Postcron Personal (baseline) | 5 of 8: no Threads, Bluesky or Telegram | $9.99 | $8.25 | $99 a year divided by 12. TikTok posts by phone reminder on this plan |
| Postcron Entrepreneur | 5 of 8: no Threads, Bluesky or Telegram | $29 | $24.17 | $290 a year divided by 12. Adds direct TikTok posting, AI captions and Insights |
| Spreadcast Pro, 1 app, posts designed and published for you | 8 of 8 | $29 flat | See pricing | One price for its 8 networks, with design, captions and publishing included |
| Publer Professional | 8 of 8 | $32 | $25.60 | The price selector for 8 accounts, with 20% off yearly |
| Buffer Essentials | 7 of 8: no Telegram | $42 | $35 | 7 times $6, or 7 times $5 on yearly billing. An eighth channel makes it $48 |
| SocialBee Accelerate | 7 of 8: no Telegram | $49 | $40.83 | Bootstrap holds 5 profiles and Accelerate 10. $490 a year divided by 12 |
| Hootsuite Standard, 1 user | 7 of 8: no Telegram | Not shown | $99 | One seat with up to 10 accounts, on annual billing |
| SocialPilot Essentials | 7 of 8: no Telegram | $30 | $25.50 | 7 accounts fill the plan exactly. Bulk upload would need Premium at $100 |
| Metricool Starter | 7 of 8: no Telegram | $25 | $20 | One brand with one profile on each network |
| Later Starter | 6 of 8: no Bluesky or Telegram | $25 | $18.75 | One social set with one profile per network, 30 posts per profile a month |
| Postiz Team | 8 of 8 | $39 | $31 | Standard stops at 5 channels, so 8 channels need Team, which allows 10 |
Three tools cover all eight: Spreadcast Pro at $29, Publer at $32 ($3 more) and Postiz Team at $39 ($10 more). Postcron Personal is the cheapest row, $19.01 below Spreadcast Pro ($29 minus $9.99), and reaches five of the eight networks, with TikTok finished by hand. Postcron Entrepreneur costs the same $29 as Spreadcast Pro and still stops at five. Each scheduler price buys a queue: none of them includes the time you spend making every post, and Spreadcast's $29 includes the post.
Free Postcron Alternatives: What Each Free Plan Really Includes
Postcron's free version stops at 3 accounts and 10 queued posts, with no bulk upload. Here is what each tool on this page lets you do without paying, and the catch.
| Tool | What is free | The main catch |
|---|---|---|
| Postcron (baseline) | 3 accounts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn, 10 pending posts | No bulk upload, Pinterest, X, watermark or Post Now |
| Spreadcast | Every post for 1 app, designed for you from your App Store listing | You download and publish them yourself, with a small Spreadcast mark. Publishing for you starts on Pro |
| Buffer | 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel, X allowed, CSV upload of 10 posts per channel | The fourth channel means paying for all four |
| Publer | 3 social accounts, 10 scheduled posts per account, 5 posts per CSV | No X accounts, 24 hour post history |
| Metricool | 1 brand, 20 posts a month, CSV import, 30 days of analytics | No LinkedIn or X |
| Later | 12 posts per profile a month, per its help center | The plan is not shown on the pricing page, and there is no CSV import |
| Meta Business Suite | Scheduling of posts, stories and reels for Facebook and Instagram, with an inbox, per Meta's overview of Business Suite | Two networks only |
| Postiz | The full self hosted edition under AGPL 3.0 | You run the server and get your own apps approved |
| SocialBee, Hootsuite and SocialPilot | Nothing permanent, a 14 day trial each | A paid plan after the trial |
If you need a free plan that takes a CSV, Buffer and Metricool are the two on this page. If you have an app and nothing to post, Spreadcast's free plan is the only one here that hands you the posts.
Postcron vs Buffer, Hootsuite, Publer and SocialBee: Short Answers
These are the head to head comparisons people run before they switch. Each row gives the short answer, using the numbers from the entries above.
| Comparison | Postcron is stronger on | The other tool is stronger on | Choose the other tool if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Postcron vs Spreadcast | Posts on any topic, video, X, 1,000 row uploads, a $9.99 entry price | Spreadcast designs the post, writes the captions and publishes it, for $29 flat on 8 networks with Threads, Bluesky and Telegram | You have an app and no time to fill a spreadsheet. Paste your link at the start page |
| Postcron vs Buffer | Price from 4 accounts up ($9.99 for 10 against $60), 1,000 rows per file, several images per row, a watermark | A free plan with X and bulk upload, 12 channels, analytics with unlimited history on paid plans, replies to comments | You run 1 to 3 channels, or you need Threads, Bluesky or YouTube |

| Postcron vs Metricool | More account slots per dollar, X included on paid plans with no add on fee | Analytics on every network, competitors, PDF and PPT reports, a free plan with CSV import | Reports matter as much as the queue |
| Postcron vs Later | Upload from Excel or Google Sheets, X, a lower price | A visual Instagram planner, a link in bio page, Threads and YouTube | Your problem is how the grid looks |
| Postcron vs Postiz | A lower entry price, a free hosted version, a documented CSV format | Open source code, an API on every plan, 30 plus destinations, flat pricing at 30 and 100 channels | A script or an agent should create the posts |
Postcron Alternatives by Need: Which Tool for Which Job
The best Postcron alternatives are different tools for different jobs. Find your case and start there.
For an App With Nothing to Schedule: Spreadcast
If you ship an app and the spreadsheet is empty, a bigger upload limit will not fill it. Spreadcast turns each App Store update, 5 star review and rating milestone into a designed post and publishes it on 8 networks for $29 a month flat. The free plan drafts every post, so paste your link at the start page and judge the designs first. Our page for indie hackers shows how that fits a one person team.
For Bulk Upload From a Spreadsheet: Publer
500 posts per CSV, another 500 media files as separate posts, and no cap on the queue from $5 a month for one account. It also covers the networks Postcron lacks. Budget $36 a month if you bring ten accounts.
For a Free Plan With Bulk Upload: Buffer
Three channels, 10 scheduled posts each, X allowed and a CSV upload included, for $0. Past 3 channels you pay $6 for each one. When that adds up, our Buffer roundup lists what to use next.
For Cheap Scheduling on Ten Accounts: Stay on Postcron
Nothing on this page beats $9.99 a month for 10 accounts plus an X account with bulk upload and a watermark. If Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest are your whole list and 100 queued posts are enough, the cheapest alternative is no alternative.
For Evergreen Posts That Repeat: SocialBee
Import the file once into categories and let the schedule draw from them, with expiry rules so a seasonal post retires itself. CSV import starts at $49 a month for 10 profiles.
For a Team Inbox and Listening: Hootsuite
One inbox, monitoring and benchmarking from $99 per user a month on annual billing. For smaller budgets, the best Hootsuite alternatives lists lighter options.
For Agencies and Client Approval: SocialPilot
Client approval, white label reports and bulk scheduling of up to 500 posts on Premium at $100 a month for 25 accounts and 6 users. Our page for agencies covers the app studio case.
For Analytics Beyond Facebook and Instagram: Metricool
Competitor tracking and 30 days of history for free, then full history and PDF and PPT reports from $25 a month, with a CSV import on every plan. The best Metricool alternatives covers the rest of that field.
For Instagram and TikTok Planning: Later
A visual planner, a link in bio page and posting time suggestions from $25 a month. No spreadsheet upload, no X and no Bluesky. The best Later alternatives compares the other visual planners.
For Open Source and an API: Postiz
Free to self host under AGPL 3.0, or $29 a month hosted for 5 channels, with an API, webhooks and an MCP server on every plan. A script that reads your sheet replaces the upload button.
Postcron Image Splitter, Carousel Splitter and Grid Maker: What Still Works
A large share of Postcron searches are not about scheduling at all. They are about its free image tools: the image splitter, the Instagram grid maker and the carousel splitter. All three point to one page, Postcron's ImageSplitter. You upload a JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF or ICO file of up to 10 MB, choose how many rows and columns to cut it into, and download the tiles in one ZIP file. The same page crops, resizes and converts images, and it suggests posting the tiles in order through Postcron so they form one giant picture on your profile.
The grid idea is older than the grid it was made for. ImageSplitter cuts square tiles for a square profile grid, and Instagram replaced that grid with taller rectangles in early 2025. The Inquirer's report on the change quotes Instagram's head saying most uploads are now vertical, and describes how it broke grids that people had built from one image split across several posts. A puzzle of square tiles no longer meets edge to edge on a profile today.
A carousel is the better home for a wide picture. Instagram's help page on posts with multiple photos allows up to 20 photos and videos in one carousel, and the orientation you choose, square, portrait or landscape, applies to every slide. So a carousel splitter should cut a panorama into vertical slices of one shape, for example 1080 by 1350 pixels for 4:5 portrait slides, and you upload them in order in one post. Our guide to social media image sizes lists the slide sizes for each network.
Free alternatives cover the rest. Any image editor with a fixed ratio crop can cut slices, and SocialBee's free tools include an Instagram grid planner that previews your feed before you post. If the slides you are cutting are app screenshots, there is a shorter route: Spreadcast's MCP server lets Claude or ChatGPT design a carousel in your app's brand, with the screenshots placed in an iPhone frame, and saves it as a draft.
Postcron WhatsApp Link Generator: How to Make a WhatsApp Click to Chat Link Yourself
The other free tool people look for is the Postcron WhatsApp link generator, in English and in Spanish as a way to crear un link de WhatsApp. On October 17, 2026 the address those suggestions name returned a not found page on postcron.com, and the variants we tried opened the scheduler's homepage instead. You do not need a generator, though, because the link is a fixed pattern that WhatsApp documents.
WhatsApp's help page on click to chat gives the rule: wa.me, a slash, then the full phone number in international format, leaving out any zeroes, brackets or dashes. A number in the United States becomes wa.me/1XXXXXXXXXX, with the country code first and no plus sign. To open the chat with a message already typed, add ?text= and the message with spaces written as %20, for example wa.me/1XXXXXXXXXX?text=I'm%20interested%20in%20the%20app. A link with only ?text= and no number lets the person who taps it choose a contact.
The link works on a phone and on WhatsApp Web, for anyone who has an active WhatsApp account. Put it in a link in bio page, on a Facebook Page button or under a post. The same help page describes an official Chat on WhatsApp button in green or white and three sizes, available in English only, and asks you to use it unchanged so people recognize it. A free link generator only fills in this pattern for you, so the one thing to check before you share a link from any generator is that it starts with wa.me and contains your number.
What a Scheduler Does Not Do: Make the Posts
Every tool on this page except one publishes what you bring, and Postcron's best feature shows that more clearly than most. The Bulk Uploader is a fast door. You still have to carry 1,000 posts through it: a caption in column A, an image you designed, uploaded somewhere public and linked in column G, and a date in five more columns. The tool saves the clicks of scheduling. The hours go into the rows.
For a team with a content person, that is a fair trade. For an app founder it is the whole problem, because the posts worth making already exist as events: version 4.1 shipped, a user left a 5 star review, the app passed 1,000 ratings. Somebody has to notice each one, open an editor, lay out a screenshot, write a caption for every network and put it in the file. A higher row limit does not shorten that list.
Showing up regularly is what pays. Buffer's study of consistent posting looked at more than 100,000 of its users over 26 weeks and found that those who posted in 20 or more of the weeks got about 5 times the engagements per post of those who posted in 4 weeks or fewer. The study compares Buffer's own users and does not prove cause, but the direction is hard to ignore.
Now put a price on it. For the 8 networks in the table above, Publer Professional is $32 a month, Postiz Team $39 and Buffer Essentials $48 for 8 channels, and each of those buys an empty queue. Postcron Personal is $9.99 and buys a smaller one. Spreadcast Pro is $29 a month flat for 8 networks, with the posts designed, captioned and published from your App Store listing. If your app ships updates, read why your scheduler is not the reason your feed is empty and the real cost of designing social posts by hand before you pay for another queue.
How to Move From Postcron to Another Tool, Step by Step
Postcron's help center describes no export of a whole account, but two of its tools hand you CSV files. Do the steps in this order, and keep the subscription running until the new tool has published for a week.
- Step 1
Download Your Saved Bulk Files
Every file you sent through the Bulk Uploader or the Image Uploader is kept under Saved Bulks. Postcron's Image Uploader tutorial says you can download, reuse or delete them from the Bulk Uploader section. Those files are your content library, already in rows.
- Step 2
Export Your Best Published Posts
On Entrepreneur and above, open Insights, choose a Facebook or Instagram page and a date range, tick the posts you want on the Posts History tab and click Export for Bulk. The help article on exporting a bulk file from post history says the download is a CSV, and that a post with several images which was not published through Postcron keeps only its first image. The help center describes no export for posts on other networks, so copy what you need from Past Posts while your plan still shows 12 months of them.
- Step 3
Reshape the Columns for the New Tool
Postcron spreads the date over five columns, and nobody else does. Buffer and SocialBee want one date and time cell, Hootsuite wants it in column A, and Metricool adds a true or false column per network. Merge the year, month, day, hour and minute columns with a formula in Google Sheets, rename the headers to match the new template, and save a fresh CSV in UTF 8.
- Step 4
Reconnect Every Account
Connections never move between tools. You sign in to each network again and approve access. Use the move to fix two things: switch a personal Instagram account to a Business account so posts publish without a phone reminder, and check how the new tool handles Facebook Groups, since Meta removed the Groups API in April 2024.
- Step 5
Rebuild Your Settings
List what Postcron does for you without asking: a watermark per account, predefined publishing times, the delay between posts to several accounts, RSS feeds in the Content Gallery, and a link shortener. Not every tool has each one. SocialPilot keeps watermarks for its $100 plan, and Buffer handles timing with queue slots.
- Step 6
Run Both for a Week, Then Cancel in Settings
Let the new tool publish for a week and compare what went out. Then cancel from Your Account, Settings, Plan Details. Paid features run until the plan's expiry date and the account then drops to the free version, with its 3 accounts and 10 pending posts. The help center does not say what happens to queued posts above that cap, so publish or move them first. Avoid the Back to the Free Version button on an account blocked for a failed payment: Postcron's article on blocked accounts warns that posts and social accounts might be deleted.
- Step 7
Moving to Spreadcast Needs No Import
Paste your App Store link at the start page, connect the networks you post to and choose one tap approval or full autopilot. The posts come from your listing, so there is no file to carry over. See app update announcement examples for what the first one will look like, and pricing for the plans.
When Postcron Is Still the Right Choice
Plenty of people who read a list like this should stay. Postcron Personal is the lowest price on this page for what it holds: $9.99 a month, or $99 a year, for 10 accounts plus an X account, with the Bulk Uploader, the Image Uploader and a watermark included. Ten channels on Buffer Essentials are $60 a month and ten accounts on Publer Professional are $36.
It is also the right choice if your work is a spreadsheet of image posts for Facebook Pages, LinkedIn and Pinterest. A 1,000 row file with several image links per row, a watermark stamped on every picture automatically and the Automagically option to spread posts over a time range is a combination nothing else here offers at that price. Hootsuite's file carries no images, Buffer's carries one per post, and SocialPilot charges $100 a month for bulk upload with a watermark.
Community managers who post to Facebook Groups have a reason to stay as well. Meta removed its Groups API in April 2024, and Postcron answered a month later with a reminder flow in its mobile app. If groups are where your audience is, a phone reminder with the text ready to paste beats nothing.
Switch when you hit a real wall: nobody has time to fill the spreadsheet (Spreadcast designs and publishes the posts for you), you need Threads, Bluesky, YouTube or Google Business Profile (Publer or Buffer), your file is bigger than your queue (Publer), you need reports for more than Facebook and Instagram (Metricool), or several people share accounts and answer customers (Hootsuite or SocialPilot). For an app team the first case does not even mean leaving. Keep Postcron for one off posts, video and X, and let Spreadcast run the recurring app posts.
How We Ranked These Postcron Alternatives
We make Spreadcast, so read the order with that in mind. It is first because it is the only tool here that makes the posts, and this page says where it stops: apps on the App Store, still image posts, 8 networks, no X. The other eight are ranked by how directly they answer a reason for leaving Postcron: the bulk schedulers closest to it (Publer, Buffer, SocialBee), then the tools for teams and agencies (Hootsuite, SocialPilot), then the specialists for analytics, Instagram and open source (Metricool, Later, Postiz).
Six things decided the order: who makes the post, how many posts one upload takes and on which plan, whether images travel inside the file, which networks are on the vendor's own list, whether there is a free plan, and the price for 8 networks. The candidates came from what people look for when they want an alternative to Postcron. We collected search suggestions from Bing and DuckDuckGo on October 13, 2026, read the lists other sites publish for this search, and kept only tools whose facts we could confirm on the vendor's own pages.
Facts about Postcron come from its homepage, its pricing page, its help center, its terms, its blog feed and its App Store listing, all read on October 13, 2026. Prices and limits for the other tools were read between October 11 and 13, in US dollars before tax. Where a page did not say something, the tables say Not stated instead of guessing. We did not score ease of use or reliability, which need weeks of real posting to judge: use the trials, and for an app, use Spreadcast's free plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best Postcron alternative?
If you have an app on the App Store, Spreadcast: it designs a post for each update, 5 star review and rating milestone and publishes it on 8 networks for $29 a month flat. For bulk uploads from a spreadsheet, Publer takes 500 posts per CSV with no queue cap, and for a free plan, Buffer covers 3 channels with X allowed.
Is Postcron free?
There is a free version with no time limit: 3 social accounts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn and 10 pending posts at a time. The Bulk Uploader, the watermark, Pinterest and X are on paid plans, which start at $9.99 a month, per Postcron's pricing page.
How much does Postcron cost?
Personal is $9.99 a month or $99 a year, Entrepreneur $29 or $290, Corporate $69 or $690 and Enterprise $199 or $1,990. They allow 10, 21, 40 and 140 accounts plus 1, 2, 4 and 8 X accounts, and every plan has a 7 day trial.
Is Postcron still working in 2026?
Yes. The site, the pricing page and the help center were live on October 13, 2026, and we found no shutdown or sale notice. Updates are slow: the App Store lists the latest app version as July 1, 2024, and Threads and Bluesky are not supported.
How many posts can you bulk upload to Postcron?
One CSV file can hold up to 1,000 rows and must stay under 5 MB. Your plan's pending posts limit applies on top: 100 on Personal, 500 on Entrepreneur, 2,000 on Corporate and 3,000 on Enterprise, counted across all accounts.
Is Postcron better than Buffer?
It depends on the number of accounts and networks. Postcron costs less from 4 accounts up ($9.99 for 10 against $60 on Buffer Essentials) and takes bigger bulk files. Buffer has the stronger free plan and publishes to Threads, Bluesky, YouTube and Google Business Profile, which Postcron does not.
Which scheduler lets you schedule posts from Excel or Google Sheets?
Postcron, Publer, Buffer, SocialBee, Hootsuite, SocialPilot and Metricool all accept a CSV file saved from Excel or Google Sheets. Limits per upload run from 100 posts per channel on Buffer to 1,000 rows on Postcron, and Later has no CSV import in its help center.
What is the best Postcron alternative for promoting an app?
Spreadcast. It reads your App Store listing every day, designs the post, writes a caption for each network and publishes it, and the free plan drafts every post. See the pricing page.
